  • While we were in France, we couldn't leave without doing an exclusive wine tour. After all, France is the wine capital of the world, as far as we are concerned. We had already went to Champagne in Reims but wanted to go somewhere new. Rach and I always wanted to go to Burgundy. To us, it was what you always think of when you picture countryside France....Good Food and Excellent Wine. Big shoutout to Authentica Burgundy Wine Tours for making it happen, especially during a tough time in December of 2021 with Omicron/Covid-19. Hope you enjoy the video!!

    About Us:
We have been married since 2009 and reside near Pittsburgh, PA. Even before we were married, we loved planning trips and traveling to cool destinations. It has now become our passion and we love diving into new foreign cultures, food, and attractions. We started making home DVDs for our own keepsake many years ago. It was a great way to preserve memories and re-live those memories whenever we wanted. We eventually found that uploaded these videos to CZcams made a lot of sense. We could share them with family and friends across the country in real time, on smart TVs, Ipads, and smart phones. That eventually led to us creating the “Matt n Rach” CZcams Channel. Our focus now is not only to preserve our memories, but to include educational and useful information for our viewers as well.
We hope you enjoy our content and please leave a comment if you liked our video or have some something you’d like to share. We love hearing from our viewers!!

Just discoverd your videos. Really enjoying and appreciating them in advance of our trip to France in March. We're taking a similar route from Paris to Lyon via Burgundy. Looks like you guys relied on trains. Wondering if you have any specific recommendations and how did you navigate once in Dijon, Beaune, and Lyon. The freedom of a rental through Burgundy is intriguing, but public transit seems like it could be much simpler. Thanks in advance.

Thanks Bobby!! We love train travel in France. Fast efficient and not super expensive. Trains will get very close to the city center in Beaune, Dijon and Lyon. From there just take Uber to hotel if you have to. The only place I’d consider getting a vehicle is Burgundy. You’ll have a great time and really appreciate the feedback on the videos!!!

@@JG-mp5nb we had a great time in France. Public transportation in Paris was a bit iffy due to strikes, but trains to Djion, Beaune, and Lyon were definitely the way to go. We loved it!

    • @mattnrach2016

Thanks!! I think it was between $150-200 per person. Any wine you purchase is obviously extra as well as lunch in town.

Do they offer tasting of rare specialty wines? I was surprised to learn recently that Burgundy also produces a sparkling red called Bourgogne Mousseux. It is usually a blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. This is their second sparkling wine after Crémant de Bourgogne. I'm curious to try this one day.

We only tried the wines they had lined up for us on the tour (which I thought were all fantastic). I’m sure they would be able to point you in the right direction to find a bottle of that particular sparkling wine though. They were extremely knowledgeable

A lot of the wineries are closed in December for holiday. We did a cellar tasting which, in my opinion, was just as cool as visiting another winery. For everything I didn’t think it was that expensive to be honest.
