The coolest one yet
Just bought this kit at HL and found your build. You do an incredible job on all your builds.
Thanks!
Very nice! Love the music at the end.
Thanks!!
Cool little street rod!
I like it. Looks real.
My new fav model building channel! Keep it up i love it. Im not huge into weathering but really liked you showin how you do it exactly. I totally agree with what ya said too abt round 2...how sum of these kits are.i think its just part of being a modeler to bicker a bit about the poorer quality kits bbut again....its so vitally important to our hobby that round 2 has stepped up like they have and i too am super thankfull they did.
Thanks Adam!!
Awesome job and a lot of great tips man, Thankyou 😉👍
Thanks Will!!
Pickup looks awesome. Chopper will love it. Ron
You and Luka are right about the kits we need them so as modelers we over come little issues and you look like you done a very good job at it 👍
Nice cool collection 👍
Nice job Matthew. Luka is absolutely on the money about Round 2 and it's good to know that you're on the same page. Thanks for your comments on that subject.
Great job on the weathering. The old 34 trucks looks awesome buddy. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks.
Love the patina. You did a fine job on this kit. Thanks for sharing your method for wearing down the tires.
Looks great
Nice model! That 390 engine looks great.
I'm inspired to build this one again myself.
It looks awesome. Very nicely done. I gotta try a weathered model. Luka C is right. Many kits will probably never be retooled. So I really appreciate them reissuing them. Thanks for all the tips. Learn something everyday.
Your pick up looks Great!!! Love the weathering!!! Nice make up tip. I need to run to Dollar General. Thanks for sharing.
Why do people call it dollar General
Looks pretty good . Part of model building is having to do a little fab work now and then. Overcome and adapt. Makes you a better builder and you can stand proud of what you did. Nice build. Thanks for sharing.
Nicely done , Sir. Looks authentic. 👍
That is awesome!!!! I’m working on the same model kit and making my truck an old rusty tow truck. I wish I could show you my truck
Hey Matthew, just discovered your channel tonight and would like to say Hi from England. Like you I’ve re discovered the hobby again a year or so ago, and I’m enjoying watching your videos, keep up the good work and inspiring us
Thanks Dadctf!!
Looks great brother
Looking good my friend!
Wished my 34 looked as good as yours(on my page of you interested)
Still practicing my weathering, I suck at it, excellent work you do with yours! Love your work!! Thanks for sharing with us!!!
This was a fun build
According to the instructions, if you are choosing to run the 'hot rod' 390 engine, you also needed to use the flat, 'custom' firewall which allows more room to the back of the engine. Good for you for making it fit though. The 'hot rod' exhaust for that engine are merely flared, chromed pipes that exit out behind the front wheels. It never had a dual-exhaust option.
On weathering the tires: I recommend spraying the wheel assemblies with the flattest dull-cote clear that you know. They should look like they spent 3 decades in the Arizona sun.
I'll definitely try that on the tires.
yeah, the stock engine exhaust is moulded onto the oilpan. on my current build of this kit, i have painted the tires with flat black and it looks the part for a old worn tire
Very cool build and nicely detailed. I will use your weathering technique on a build or two. Cheers
Nice work brother. Just found your channel yesterday through the channel feeds on my channel. Been watching a few of your vids. You do some nice work. Old school stuff that I like. Subbed you as well. Well done!
Thank you!!
Wow ,what a build buddy ,love these old kind of cars ,they so beautiful, so much character and you are doing a fantastic job. New subscriber here mate
turned out really nice! I have some of my old builds I think I can "age" to cover up how bad I did them 40 yrs ago! LOL!
Funny
Beautiful
Yeah that’s true about Round 2 but their Quality Control could be a little better, you know?!?! I appreciate them bringing back a lot of those old kits, don’t get me wrong it’s just some stuff they could do better in , one of their departments or whatever! Anyways, real nice old truck, I like the patina and the 390 in it! Take care! Doug H
i believe it was the front suspension that gave me the most trouble.. i feel your pain.ha Really enjoy your videos.
If you like the sponge tip applicator for the "greasy make-up" (l believe that's contour but l don't use dollar make-up), look at that dollar store or online. You can get a sponge tip applicator mounted on a regular 5-6 inch handle like a paint brush. It's what l have in my make-up kit & it's a world easier to use.
My kit that came from AMT's most recent release had the proper FE engine fire wall. Did not come with tires for a proper Hot Rod build, just five skinny old time versions.
👍🏻👍🏻
I have this kit and it does look a little challenging. I am going to use the 289V8 with custom intake, Weber carbs, and exhaust headers from the Lindberg Cougar II in it. Not sure on wheels and tires but been thinking of using the custom rims and white walls from the AMT 49 Ford Coupe.
Sounds very cool!!👍🏻👍🏻
Great looking kit... rusty and crusty
Rusty and Crusty!!!! Lol
I am 14 and I have seen karate kid about 10 times wax on wax of😂 cool truck by the way I have the same one but I did mine in a stock black.
I"m currently working on the AMT 1934 Ford pickup and came across your two videos while doing some research. I have never done a weathered build but your videos have enspired me to do so. I'll have to pick up another kit when they go on sale at HL. I do have a question. I watched both videos and unless I missed it I dont' believe you covered how you weathered the wire wheels. Can you explain your process? Thanks for the videos.
Thanks!!
How do you fog up the window glass
Wish there was a easy way to make parts chromed that came color (of the vehicle). Any suggestions?
I use Rust-Oleum metallic finish paint. It comes in chrome and gold. Watch my 58 Edsel build. I stripped all the chrome and sprayed it with that. It turned out pretty good. Thanks, Matthew
@@modelcarvideos5829 Also wish some model car company would put out the 1943 Fordoor Delux (the death car of Bonnie and Clyde and one of the most valuable automobiles in U.S.)
That looks really neat😎. John Boy will be fighting Jim Bob to driving it👌😁 Do you know if its the same moulding as Lindberg 34 pick up. As Luka was saying, old moulds.. Just a bit of work to hone our modelling skills. The result being a tremendously satisfying month of torture. 😳😂 Best wishes from the covid bound UK. Pete
Thanks Pete, I'm not sure if its the same as the Lindberg kit. Thanks for watching!
It is the lindberg kit. AMT reboxed it
@@jtech23 Cheers for letting me know. I've been very impressed by the moulding of this kit. The body is so smooth I've been tempted not to paint it. Unfortunately, it's a sickly light cream/brown colour which I can't stand😞lol. Best wishes Pete
