@jackle3002 It's cause he is using a sequential shifter. He clutches when going down so that he can rev match. Helps a lot in getting through corners faster and minimizes wear on transmission.
I don't think that he's just toying with them ;) If you compare the starting T° and the end T°, there is a crazy difference! Starting T°: Water=85°C/Oil: 87°C and end T°: Water=111°C /OIL=122°C. Just to much for the water and the oil. To conclude: I do believe he's toying a little with them, but he's also preventing the temperatures to raise too much. The more higher revs you give, the higer and faster the temperature rises. Have a nice day. P.S.: If someone knows the answer please tell me.Thanks
If your gonna race for 13 minutes with a car like that you'd want to shift early to make sure the tires don't slide. Especially on a short course like this. Probably reached max. output there so there was no need to go any higher.
I love at 5:11 he displays the FULL POWER of this car....Also I seem to come back to this video every few years haha.
very smooth and efficient driving style
Insanely fast! Too bad you struggled off the line at the start, amazing video!!!

@jackle3002 ....or the s14's engine is turbocharged and the Porsches' engines are N/A.
this is awsome
ooooooo fancy footwork
Possibly new motor? Testing traction/suspension and balance? I noticed that he was holding back as well.

I like how he shifts at 6500rpm just to toy with them. This car pulls past 8000rpm!

What differential are u running? 1.5way?
misshift at 3:10 mark. He meant to upshift at WOT but sadly downshifted
Are you using a Haltech IQ3 data acq. system?
@ 5:14 he's like F U Porsches!
chica maquina xd
@DrifterificSil80 Look at this video: v=7LrZ3UzmKyE
8100 rpm, doesn't stop pulling. Looks like he was holding it back here for some reason.
why only shift at 6000rpm?
このS14メチャ早い。。。ははっはは
Its Tsukuba circuit no Ebisu -.-
クロスミッションに変えてますね;;
