Over the years, Sinatras' voice became more rugged and defined. It's interesting to see his evolution.

I’m a great admirer of early Sinatra and his voice in the decade of the 40s, he was still married to Nancy and raising his children but he abandoned her for a tramp and his voice lost its original crisp quality in the 50s and I can’t endorse his chosen lifestyle but I will always cherish his recordings of the late 30s and 40s!

This is the first time that I have heard of this song, maybe because I was not born yet when the radios played this on the airwaves. Among all of Frank Sinatra's songs, this is now my favorite.
If You Are But A Dream
If you are but a dream
    I hope I never waken
It's more than I could bear
    To find that I'm forsaken
    If you're a fantasy
    Then I'm content to be
    In love with lovely you
And pray my dream comes true
I long to kiss you but I would not dare
I'm so afraid that you may vanish in the air
So darling if our romance should break up
I hope I never wake up
If you are but a dream.

Same here. I couldn't understand it either. Mister Rat Pack Las Vegas? Really? I had heard that he was a teenager heartthrob, and teenage girls swooned over him like teenage girls swooned over the Beatles, but then you hear/see these old recordings and you finally get it.

This is how A.I should be used and not abused like all the other things that's going on.

    • @loublackvideo
      @loublackvideo  Před rokem +3

Agreed. My use in this context is very low key with its use of simple algorithms that have been trained to remap every shade of gray into color and to sharpen previously fuzzy images (NASA has been doing that for decades). That being said, I have been intrigued by the use of AI by Hollywood animators or those having the computer create abstract fantasy or deep fake stuff. I see all of that as a novelty though and much of it seems a bit repetitive.

@@loublackvideo It is fun to watch AI generated cover songs and deepfakes, but I don't think it's morally right to do so. It'll be interesting to see how the big music corporations are going to tackle copyrighted material generated by AI.
