    That is one of the body styles that Ford should bring back.

      1971 was when FORD installed real power steering in their Mustangs.
      If I bought this BOSS Mustang I would pull out the electrical distributor and install the original points distributor to protect it from EMP damage⚡

      The newer stangs look a lot like these with the long roof line and tail lights

    When I was a teenager there was a car showroom close to my parents house that sold cars like Panteras and other performance cars. They went out of business and inside the abandoned building was a stripped Boss Mustang, exactly like this one. It was sitting in the middle of the old showfloor, manifold and carb were gone, wheels and ties were gone, but still looked so cool to me. Tried to talk to my parents and see if there was a way to figure out how I could have bought it. I dont think I got very far because nobody knew the owners and I never found out what happened to it but Ill never forget the car.

      Nice story, and sad. They abandoned a Boss 351? Not very smart people i guess.

    I made and sold those Boss 351 license plates a long time ago. Glad to see one still around and on a real Boss!! 👍

    Whenever I see one of these I kick myself, saw one in 1980 in an auto repair shop in the country. They had a ton of muscle cars out back and had one of these. I had never seen one and thought it was a fake because of the Boss 351 stickers; it was missing the intake and carb but the rest was there. Could of had it for $300.

      Back about 1982 I saw a 65 (or 66) Shelby with a Paxton supercharger for $6000. It was a huge some of money @ 23 years old. If I only knew.

    Just suscribed. Right now, as far as i concern, this very car is the best in the world. In some weeks maybe i'll change my mind, replacing it by another Ford. But this one is incredible.. Great video, greetings from Argentina.

    One of 1806 ever built ! 1 year only. This one was someones nicely preserved baby ! That car was well loved . Common sense bolt ons like headers and maybe mufflers but other than that, this is exactly how they came from Ford. One of the fastest muscle cars of the day despite the fact she's a bit of a heifer... In street trim and a decent 60 ft time they would run in the 13.40s @ 101.

      @AlejandroP1980s Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah was going to be run for another year 1972 model but gov regulations and insurance cost didn't make it happen

    • @AlejandroP1980s
      @AlejandroP1980s Před 2 lety +1

      That's why ford detuned them and make them 351 H.O. for 72 is a detuned boss

    • @AlejandroP1980s
      @AlejandroP1980s Před 2 lety +1

      Also boss 302 and boss 429 for 71 but ford pull out of events and also marketing if they did decided to give the other project boss a go then this boss 351 would be spring edition spring special

    That's pretty, thanks for sharing. Was '71 the last year for chrome exterior door handles? It seems like the 72/73 were painted body color.
