That IS a beautiful machine and a fine example of Detroit muscle. A 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1 M code.

they did not have advanced processes and materials yet. Carburetors. We could make an awesome one these days with same body and yet better weight, economy, and crash protection. They are making the 67 or 68 now at REVOLOGY.

you will never sell it because its a 4 cylinder motor all M codes are 4 cylinder motors ; i no this because i worked at ford for 40 years . only the yenko mustangs were fitted with a 2 ltr diesel v8 paired to 6 speed manual collum shift gearbox. like i said i worked at fords for 40 yrs

This is the way God intended the Cleveland engine to be. No stinking AC, just a clean view of that sexy mill and nothing in the way of timing and points adjustment. The Cleveland thrives on advance, if you got the octane.

I've never seen a mach 1 with a silver hood. Normally they are flat black. Im not saying it not correct just odd. The bumpers are normally colored the same as body. Not saying it not correct just odd or was an option to pick. Im pretty sure it was part of the mach 1 theme.

The black stripe package is much more common than the light silver poly stripes but they were a factory option. You could even order a Mach 1 without the stripes altogether. The front bumpers were colored the same as the body and the front bumper of this Mach 1 does match the body. The rear bumpers were all chrome. The chin spoilers and lower rocker stripes would be colored the same as the rest of the stripe package.
