      Thanks for watching! Yes, this is the 26HP. For me, it was plenty of power. We actually sold it a year ago as we no longer have our property but, I really miss it and would not hesitate to by that exact one if/when we get more property.

    Does anyone else notice this model Tiger Cat 2 is very noisey? Not sure if it's the engine or blades spinning but I am ready to trade it in.

      @MrRockBluff  Před 5 lety

      The only noisey sound I’ve had was a spring under the engine rattles sometimes at low rpms. Once I spin up the rpms it no long does it. Hasn’t been an issue.

    The engine is the only difference from other Tiger Cat 2 models with the same deck and frame, the biggest thing i wanted was to HEAR IT!

      Dustin Mercado you are right. For the most part it’s pretty much the same. Really only cosmetic differences like the seat and I think run flats for the front casters are now more standard. I’ll try and do a vid on how the engine sounds soon.

    Nice mower! Looking at getting that exact machine for me this spring! Let me know how you like it and what’s the hp on the Kawasaki efi?

      Greg’s Lawn and Landscape thanks for checking out the video. Quick disclaimer. I don’t mow lawns for a living (although some days I’d really like to get into it. Maybe one day). We have a large lot so that’s why we ended up getting this mower. I was skeptical about the Kawasaki FT EFI but we got a great deal on it so I couldn’t pass it up. The engine is a FT730V rated at 26hp. Seems to have plenty of power (although it’s really hard to test that when there’s no grass). I did mulch up quite a few leaves with it and it had no problem doing so. So far so good. I’ll post a more in-depth video on it after the Christmas.

      Same one I’m also looking at for 2019

      Christian’s Lawn care So far I’m really liking it. There’s no grass to really test it out yet but I think it will do just fine. Only thing that is annoying me right now is a spring that is right under the clutch. At low RPMs it tends to vibrate which makes a rattling sound. But, it quickly stops when you rev up.

      Christian’s Lawn care We found this mower for $8650 OTD. You can probably find a good deal right now in the off season.

    I’m looking at same mower, do you think the Kawasaki has enough power?

    • @MrRockBluff
      @MrRockBluff  Před 5 lety

      Deere 6430 I’m hoping so. The only real work it’s seen to date is mulching damp leaves. I did have to go slower through the thick areas but, to be fair it was a lot of leaves.

      Just purchased this exact mower two days ago. Def go with the 26hp Kawasaki efi over either of the other two they offer in this machine. I owned a 2014 tiger cat 61" with the commercial Briggs 30hp and can honestly say I already like the Kawi significantly more. The efi is awesome, the motor runs much quiter compared to any other offered, especially the Kohler. The 26hp Kawasaki FT730V EFI has more than enough power than you'll ever need and if by far a better all around engine. The 23hp Kawasaki that they offer is an FX model rather than an FT and is not an efi engine, that one in my opinion is under powered plus it is more expensive. All in all, the tiger cat II with all the upgrades and changes from the original version has far exceeded my expectations and well worth the money, which also happens to be far cheaper than an other brand of equal quality. Good luck
