He broke into 2 of the most secure buildings in the galaxy and GOT AWAY. That's like if someone broke into the Pentagon and stole some classified documents and managed to hold congress hostage to bust out El Chapo and SUCCEED. Ignoring his ability to kill Jedi, he's probably the best bounty hunter the galaxy has ever seen.

This theme is on the same level as The Mandalorian's soundtrack.
i read that he's based on clint eastwood's character from "the good the bad and the ugly", even cad's posture is exactly the same and his wide brimmed hat is nearly identical xD
He's actually modeled more after Lee Van Cleef's. He's the morally bankrupt gunslinger, just like Angel Eyes, and even the way he rests his hand on his belt is the same as Angel Eyes in the climax of the movie.
Yeah as the person above me said, he’s Van Cleef rather than Eastwood. Lucas confirmed this himself, Cad is supposed to be Angel Eyes from the Good, the Bad and the Ugly in space. Boba was the one who was inspired by Clint Eastwood, hence his little half cape that somewhat resembles when Eastwood would wear his poncho to one side.
Knowing this makes the fact that Boba killed Cad in a duel (remains to be seen but I think it’ll come eventually) even better tbh.

@@yogalayang8096 I have come to realize that the closest star wars has to a Tuco might be Hondo, a right bastard with some redeeming features who easily outshines his peers in regards to humor.
I'll be honest; this one slaps a lot harder than Samuel Kim's version. It keeps the whole tone consistent and feels genuinely western vs his hodgepodge of different themes and motifs.

@@CyberController- Don’t think there’s anything in the canon about how fast Duros age or how long they live. There’s some EU stuff that suggests they live to ~70, but that’s something they could easily change if they decided to bring Bane into the Mando era.

@@Lumbago_survivor84 Did they give us an actual age or are we going from appearance? From what I can see on sources, Duros lifespans are slightly shorter than standard humans. A Human might be middle aged in their 50s, but that age is solidly in old territory for Duros.
@@josephperez2004 i believe they did give him an age but since I think the duros lifespan that we know is currently legends so they could easily retcon it and just like double it or something. I doubt anyone would care, especially if its for cad bane

This is probably the best remaster of a soundtrack I’ve heard so far, the source material alone just brings you back to that scene, which was so powerful in its own, and then to add the western twist on it? Honestly, such a great remaster. Keep up the great work. Can’t wait for it to come out on Spotify, if it does. 🤞🏻

Running a Star Wars ttrpg game for a few years. I learned to do the Bane voice cuz the players 'wanted a cool cameo, but nothing big like Luke or Han'. Later in the game, they stole a Hutt ship and who else was coming to collect but the man himself. He baited the team to one location and had his partner take the ship while they were away. As he flew off, the Captain (our newest player) was flying off the handle, figuring out how he'd get revenge. Everyone else just watched him go, somebody muttering 'God, he's good.' with a chuckle.

About 70 years, but that's positively ancient for a duro. I'm talking, the equivalent of 100 for a human. By his last appearance, Cad Bane is 71 and STILL a total badass.
