  • Back at it on the Bobcat, I need to place another parts order but wanted to verify the Status on the engine. So what do we do???? hotwire it, bypass the coolant lines, remove the fuel shutoff, prime the fuel system, replace the burnt up return fuel lines, and let er rip!! Be Blessed my Friends!!!! Mighty Mark coming at you from the Shop
    For those of you new to the page, I bought this Bobcat Burnt up and Crispy, something caught fire in the engine compartment and burned up all the wiring, the air filter housing, the main cooling fan housing, many hydraulic lines, the fuel tank, and on and on...….We will see this machine in operation again!!! We are more than conquerors!!!

    I've got a 1974 EIMCO 911 with a Deutz F3L912W in it. Something on the engine end of the machine is seized; I can't tell if it's the engine or the hydraulic pump. I'm told it ran when parked...lol. Eventually I'll pull the engine and start diagnosing and estimating repair costs. It's one of two machines from that lot and I got it for about 40c/lb. The other one is a runner that has nearly paid itself off.

    Video i was looking for, if you can hear the turbo whistle when engine running, i can hear it whistle clearly on your video which proves my turbo is not working, machine runs but wont put out much power, Thanks for your video

    Awsome video! Great feeling to hear that start up and not hear any knocking noises.. Ill be doing the same here in a few days to a 2011 deutz. Are you gravity feeding the fuel? Glad to see the eye wasn't hurt worse..those eye injuries are a painful!

      No need to gravity feed my friend just use the priming bulb and route your return line right back into the fuel can. Good hearing from you and keep up the good work!

      Yes, it hurts when you get anything in your eye such as brake clean! Damn it hurt but I learned that I need to wear safety glasses more often

    Did you have to take out the hydraulic pump/system with the engine, or was it just easier?

    • @SlimyGreenGarage
      @SlimyGreenGarage  Před 4 lety +1

      you do not have to remove them together but I believed it would be easer for my situation. there is such a small amount room to work in these machines. Since my machine had caught fire I to work on the pump system anyway, so it just made sense.

    Did you make a video on replacing the engine timing belt?

      Not sure why I did not see your message sooner. I'm not sure I included any footage of the timing belt replacement however it was a fairly simple job. I ordered a kit that came with the belt and the 2 Alignment pins needed to do the job

      I have a question for you. I have a bobcat 873 1996, is it necessary to remove the whole motor or engine to fix the gasket on the oil pan? Because it's leaking from there.

    • @SlimyGreenGarage
      @SlimyGreenGarage  Před 2 lety

      I believe it would be necessary to remove the engine. And while you have it out you could replace any worn parts, It would be worthwhile to do that.
