Hi my loves!! Last week I didn't get any videos up so I wanted to vlog my weekend!! I hate when I don't get content up, so I do apologize!! I wanted to take you guys with us for the weekend! Nothing amazing, just every day life :) Since we went 'plant based' or 'vegan' (its a touchy subject for some people) we have found SO many amazing new foods and recipes!!! Today is day 23 of our journey and I am so excited about it!! My eczema on my hand has completely cleared up and has not been back since I started. SO COOL!! Although some other areas are still effected, I know I am on the right path. It really has been amazing for us. We wanted to share some footage of what we ate last weekend as well as what we bought at the food store!! Brett is going to be posting TONS of recipes on his channel for anyone interested in making a change!!! It's so amazing because we have found replacement products for all of our old favorites. Carli, when making ramen, don't rip off the lid. just rip it halfway and cover it again, placing your fork on it to hold down the lid to keep the steam inside. it cooks faster.

Hey Carli, if you see this, I just wanted to tell you please don't let any comments get to you or discourage you from what you are doing. It seems like when you tell people you go vegan or plant based, you are judged 2x as much with what you have, buy, or do! It's really a journey and I Say this because it happened to me when I first went vegan + STILL happens to me 2 years after lol. Just stay focused on what good you are doing and don't get down when someone points out every little thing that is not vegan in your video. I don't know you to well, I'm new here... But I thought I would share that since I already see some comments pointing every little thing out. It's awesome to inform people and you learn as you go, but regardless of how much you do, I've realized it will never be good enough for some people and I just don't want you to ever feel like this lifestyle brings so much negativity. It is what YOU make of it, so stay positive beautiful💋💕

Yes! I love that she is spreading the message and is such a positive role model! I think she should increase her portion size aswell. In my opinion the cup of noodles dont seem like it has many calories and the soup portion was small. Maybe baked sweet potato with a chickpea salad , stuffed bell peppers, pasta with mushroom bolognese, rice pilaf hummus and avocado sandwiches (endless of options!), those are more caloric dense, full of nutrients and super yummy :) ! I really admire what you're doing. Beggining a vegan diet is actually changing your whole life style and that is not easy to do nor easy to choose. I began a veggie diet 4 or 5 years ago and I hope the minute I start to live by myself I can start a vegan lifestyle too.

Carli, Surely if you're against eating animal foods, and you are against animal cruelty you shouldn't be feeding your cats chicken? The animals go through the same thing whether humans eat them or other animals? It just seems very contradictory..

I don't think you need to cut out grains to clear the rest of your skin problem. Just be patient!
Make sure you eat lots of rice, potatoes, beans, fruits, nuts, nut butters for snacks, I mean the list goes on, there are so many ways to eat vegan. My staples are: jasmine white rice, beans, pasta, pasta sauce, all sorts of spices and herbs, small mangoes and bananas, steamed kale, and mixed berries. Look up different vegan meal preps on youtube to get ideas. Its so easy to be vegan these days with all the info out there on the net. But you have to find what works for you, but I hope you stay vegan, not only is it great for your health with out a doubt, just look up NutritionFacts.org here on youtube, but it saves animals!

dogs are actually omnivores and can live very healthy lives on a vegan diet. However, cats are carnivores and should not be fed a vegan diet.

People who try to make their cats or dogs vegan better hope they never meet me. This really infuriates me. These are the people that push an agenda at any cost and these are the types that most people who aren’t vegan have a problem with. I love animals and I’m not vegan and have no interest in it but I respect that some people feel a moral obligation to it but to say you love animals and then to be that cruel to your own pet is sickening and hypocritical.

Carliiiii don't cut out the carbs!! I would say just try to eliminate high amounts of sodium (vegan chicken noodle soup) hehe and lots of olive oil and stuff. Just a thought, I am vegan too and those are just some things that helped my skin :))

Learning about caloric intake on a vegan diet was a huge mystery to me when I started. I was inspired by Annie Jaffrey's channel here on CZcams to go vegan. You can watch some of her older videos for amazing tips. Once I found Tanny Raw here on CZcams and started making her green smoothie recipe with a whole head of dark leafy greens, apple, pear, banana, lemon, and chia seeds everyday, my life was changed forever. Bananas and chia seeds are the secret!

I love hearing about your vegan journey :) It's really inspiring.
If you've had the kitties since birth, and they know they get their food inside, they won't run away. As long as they have their claws, it's safe to let them outside without a leash or anything. Start by leaving the door open, and try calling them in or tempting them back in with some food after a couple minutes. I know it's stressful, but they should be ok.
If you freeze the bananas you won't have to use ice and it will stay cream and frozen longer

You should make chia pudding! Soak chia seeds with five times the amount of nut milk for a couple hours. I like to add walnuts, vanilla extract, and chopped dates. It turns into a tapioca pudding texture.

Hi Carli!!! I just wanted to shoot you a quick comment to let you know something I have learned recently! I am currently a Nail Technician, and for some reason i was getting a random dry patch on my hand by my thumb. At first i thought it could have been some sort of lotion or product that repeatedly got onto my skin. When I changed where i was working my dry spot cleared, and is no where to be seen! I asked the reasoning behind it all and the owner of the shop said most of the time the acrylic systems salons use are MMA based. MMA is the type of 'acrylic' that is dor dentist and orthodontist offices. most salons use the MMA based acrylic vecause it dries faster, in turn makes the process faster. MMA products have alot of side effect such as damage to the nail plate, and dry patches to appear! Im not saying it is 100% the cause of your dry patches, but it could be a contributing factor! Nail salons should be using the EMA acrylic products. They are longer to dry but stay on the nails better!

You can literally make anything vegan! There's hundreds of substitutes and recipes out there. You could still eat the same way you do/used to and just veganise it!😊

Just a tip - when making your noodles, boil the jug (kettle) and pour that water into your noodles. I find it "cooks" them so much faster than a microwave or just hot water!

I'm glad you found peace of mind and a solution for your eczema. I know someone who suffers from it badly and she has also began changing her diet and is now eating organic foods. Adopt!! People need to stop focusing on breeds. So many animals need a home and they are all just as deserving! Choosing by breeds is completely materialistic , animals are not an accessory.

for the ramen your better off with 2-4 for a meal... i would make my own ( for less sodium) buy the noodles and add spices and veggies and such to broth
I think it's absolutely amazing that you choose to be public with your choice to go vegan! With your big follower count I know it's probably hard to deal with the people that are judgmental but your helping so many other people transition as well 😊 I've only been vegan for a week now but I'm loving it and can already see a difference in my body and energy! Please ignore everyone who is saying to change your cats diet to raw vegan or plantbased. There is no logical reason for anyone to do that it kills cats they require meat in their diet. I'm plant based myself and I can't stand seeing these radical vegans who take it way too far
