I live here, and it's a very unique place. It can be quite grim in winter, but it's an absolute paradise in summer, particularly August and September.

If only the Federal Government did not hold us hostage with the cost of getting on and off the ferry, which is our link to the mainland of Canada. Tourism in Newfoundland would explode even more than it presently is if it was affordable for people to access the island.
