- The Baypass Tunnel is open in Pengasas Bay, connecting the barrier island with the mainland! Today we’re digging a new tunnel right under the bay, and providing easy access between Crestwind Cape, Downtown, and the outer islands. This toll tunnel will provide expanded transportation links and adds a touch of beauty to the bay at the same time! We’ll detail it all up with a large park, radio mast, channel master towers, and lush plantings providing not only a vital infrastructure project, but also a beautiful place to watch the cruise ships flow into Pengasas Bay!

At one point I was scared when I saw the frame at 19:36 but in the end it became beautiful.

Simply amazing. Reminds me of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel. Kudos for demonstrating what's possible with CS2 vanilla. This was top 3 for me. Can wait to see how you integrate the railway in this crossing.

Great series. If you double click the road with the same road type, it adds a node. You don't have to build a perpendicular road then delete it. It is really useful for freeways so you can align exit/entrance lanes, or when you want to upgrade a specific road segment to asymmetrical with a particular length. Thanks for all the great content!

Such a cool build! My one piece of feedback is the rail line's gradient is rather steep and if possible it'd look rather neat for the rail to descend earlier than the highway to provide a more gentle slope into the tunnel.
Love this idea. I may have to come back and adjust it in a later episode. 🙂

This was an amazing design and so realistic looking, amazing job.
That said, constructive criticism, those decline/incline angles are too steep, especially for trains. 15:05 9.7°, 15:20 16.9° maybe something like Network Multitool slope alignment will come out for CS2 that will help fix this in post.
Also 20:50 that other tunnel surround shape is very phallic looking.

Thanks for the comments! We do come back in the next episode to help with that 9% slope and worked it down to 5%. Still too steep, probably, but about the best we could do to get under the water from the point on the island. As for the tunnel shape, completely unintentional and was modeled loosely after the Oresund Bridge tunnel. 😕 Appreciate the feedback!
@@CitySculptorthanks for the reply, yeah I caught that in episode 13 👍🏼. I know it’s a game and you can only do so much. I try to keep my train lines under 3° apparently irl it’s supposed to be 1.5° but could you image the map space required to achieve that tunnel. What you did is a great compromise between game limitations and realism. Keep up the content and I can see you being as big as CPP or Biffa in mere months.

Wooow this came out great !! This gave me a great idea for this map because just like you, I didn’t like the placement of that bridge in the beginning of the game but you need it to get your money up 😂 but definitely going to change the location of that bridge 👍

Very inspiring video. I liked a lot of the detailing that you did. The only critique is how do you get to those watchtowers from the shore line? Maybe could add a path to one of them for ppl to get to work.

Suggestion: Maybe you could add some (position) lights for the bumpers in the water so that ships can see them at night.
Yeah, I wish there was an easy way to do that. I thought about using 1-lane freeways as the road surface and adding street lights to it. But, it didn't have the rugged, gravel look I was going for. Great suggestion, though!
