Happy ducks, happy dog, peaceful home life. Lucky man, making his dream come true, much respect.
All he needs now is a woman to....
Alan Simpson too much drama and stress.
irishwench333 ducks are what brings me peace. I am so thankful for them.

fucking ravers
Ducks are the fiercest predators of snails and slugs, but they donât destroy the greens and they even fertilize them. Perfect pest control
@Antonio Jutronic can confirm! my runners love eating them
My ducks LOVE slugs. I also love them; I find them super cute. :( They are less cute when they destroy my squash. So I gotta choose!
@@azurehue2248 Our Khaki Campbells reduced our grassed area to a Somme-like expanse of mud and craters...slug and snail free, but pretty barren too! But they were a joy and I miss them...and the eggs too!
@@azurehue2248 you are amazing may
coming from a person with ducks, i dont know what you mean by "they dont destroy the greens"... my girl Ferdinand is a monster green destroyer... and an expert snail/slug ignore-er..

This is my dream world! Big piece of land, small waterfall on a stream, birds, cows, chickens, ducks, a horse and the perfect dog , a Border Collie. Loved the video

I was raised in a place like this and always thought it was too much work to be done even if I loved with all my life. Then I moved to a super tiny apartment on the city to work in an office (mostly to prepare myself for the real world), and suddenly I was like 'wth am I doing????? THIS is hardwork, I'm bloody unhappy, this isn't the real world, this is a joke'.
Thing is, life is a hardwork, but some hardwokrs are just insane and unreasonable; I'm moving back as soon as I can for good.
@@shaash5236 It's only work if you don't enjoy doing it. It's leisure when you do.
Omg. These ducks are adorable. Itâs like a childrenâs book come to life.
I am interested in a duck book.
Jane Rainsford they're so cute so him too. How ducks know camera be shy too, wow. May be camera man make them shy?
You mean Disney Story comes alive :-)

What a fantastic comment!đđđ
It is delightful to observe your kindness and love towards all your livestock. If they are not happy, healthy and content, you can not possibly be.
Aw, I once had a khaki Campbell! So beautiful! Sable brown, black feet and bill, green eyes. She was the only pet duck Iâve ever had that would stretch out on her side and love to be scratched. She rolled around just like a kitten!
I love ducks⥠This year a wild duck started breeding in a flower pot infront of my bedroom window right next to my bed on our balcony. It was one of the most magical experiences ever. I am bedbound due to illness so I spent a lot of time watching and talking to the ducky⥠She only left for a short period every day in the evening to feed and wash and do her business. She didn't soil her nest even once. She had 6 gorgeous chicks. I hope she comes back next yearâĄ
Amongst all the scary news and depressing politics how wonderful to find a genuine and inspiring person sharing this wonderful content. Thanks!
A gentle earth carer. What a blessing. All goodness to behold.
Who else thinks that everyone should live life like this?đđđ
I love ducks đ
Iâve had two female runners for 3 years, theyâre my sweetie pies. My little dinosaurs, canât keep the pool clean worth shit though. They hear my voice when I come home from work and follow me lifting up rocks for worms, adorable
I have a farm collie, his family comes down from immediate farm stock. And while mine sleeps indoors, his family has a door to the outside to protect the the stock, chickens, ducks. gees, turkeys, goats, sheep and the vegetable garden. My dog would be a horrid pet without the work he does, and needs his jobs to stay sane. And of course, his training. Lovely job, Mossy Bottom, I envy your life.
I'm glad you're sharing videos again. Your gentle and thoughtful approach to the creatures and your land is very inspiring.
It's amazing how much you managed to fit comfortably into an acre.
How man was meant to live. Connected to and apart of nature. Not disconnected and apart from nature. You are an inspiration to us all.
Not only are your ducks utmost lovable, but the construstion of the duck house is most impressive. đ đŠâ€ïž
Look at these LENGTHY LADS!
Very good and ELONGATED quackers!
Your duck house is not only beautiful to look at, but it's incredibly well-thought-out and functional. Amazing!
"Like ducks to water " as they say! Lucky ducks! Thankyou for this and all your videos.!đđđ
The ducks looked so happy in the water. đŠ
What a bright, good man,
It is so fun to watch all these things that Mossy bottom I have an acre of land outside of Gervais Oregon United States the Ducks and the geese and the chickens and the ponies and the pigs it's like watching my life all over again
11:35 - 11:50 While you're giving the tutorial on your ducks. Your dog runs around the fence, and happily grabs a random stick in the background. This cracked me up. Well don on this video sir. Your ducks are adorable, and you all seem happy!
Charming ducks indeed and you sir are a charming presenter with a great channel, from another bird lover
Damn ⊠you look good.

I was born in a farm in Brazil, but now I live in Maine USA....We had lots of chickens, ducks and some geese too.....I love to see your videos....I cant wait to see your cottage, I visited Ireland a very long time ago and I loved the little cottages. Stay happy and healthy, Liuba
Oh, so cute!!! Lovely, lovely ducklingsâ€. I got 2 of my own that I incubated. They're now 6 mos old. Very very possessive. They compete for attention and peck at each other when they hear my voice while I walk towards them.
This guys voice is amazing, he could read me anything and I would have to listen. Some people put music on to sleep, I just put his video on... lol....
It's so beautiful to watch you and the background around you.
I wish you the best possible life!
They sure do love the water, donât they? Thanks for sharing part of your journey with us, it gives me such piece and inspiration, watching your little family! Know itâs way over used, and has become almost meaningless, but from the bottom of my heart, I wish great contentment and a long wonderful life, in which to enjoy it!

I'm in love with Nugget!
I LOVE ducks. They are silly and soft and cute from start to finish. I haven't raised that breed yet.
We had 2 ducks we rared from little yellow chicks, the kids just loved them, they'd wrap them in blankets and they'd all veg on the sofa & watch cartoons together. For entertainment we'd hop them into the bathtub so comical, best pets we ever had! We live in the town estate, i'd let them free range the garden in the day. The neighbours would often be seen resting on my gate for long periods smiling at their antics in the swimming pool. I retired them to a farm with more ducks they got to waddle to the river whenever they chose. Ducks make the best watch dogs outdoing my dog for warning at any suspect arrivals to the house. I highly recommend trying ducks.
LOVE the duck house design. I have Indian runner ducks. They absolutely love the water. I live on a lake and the runners spend more time in the water than on land. They are so happy in the water. Even with a huge source of water in the lake, new puddles or water from the hose on the ground is also irresistible to them. Couldnât imagine keeping them without water.
Wonderful homestead you have. Love your videos.
Nugget is a heart breaker. What a cute duck. And so affectionate.đ
Love seeing your farm. Thanks so much for sharing it with us city dwellers. Peaceful and serene.
I had a lonely runner duck from warmer Tennessee join my little flock in colder Wisconsin, who used to freak out Ms Cayuga by swimming under her in the kiddy-pool. Your lovely Nugget brought me a great memory. Otherwise, she was quite shy, demure, and respectful.
Got a great laugh when the feeding began.
đđOMG yes!!!! @ 12:58 Ducks DEFINITELY need want & need water!! So adorable!!! Thank you for the blessing of this video. đ€đđ€
It would do the world well having more folks like him it
Moss, being a Border Collie, is probably in 7th heaven with you. A Border Collie needs to have a job and lots of roaming space in order to be happy. He's a lucky boy.
I could watch them all day. Y'all are so cute!
Love the ducks. What a good dad you are. You have made a very nice place for them.
You chose wisely. I had Indian runners for three and s half years. I love them dearly. I just gave them away about a month agođBut they went to go live at a wonderful farm with 50 acres in a 7 acre pond.!
Can they swim? Their body seems the wrong shape.
2degucitas lol They are goofy looking but Yep they can swim great. They can fly to get away from predators also. But they do not do either as well as like a mallard. But they do fine. They are really wonderful ducks as you can tell from the video! They are really loving and just so much fun to have. And I believe they lay eggs through their entire life also? that is a bonus over a chicken. Thatâs what I was told but cannot confirm because they were 3 1/2 years old with many more years to go.
My husband and I are going to be traveling for work and they are just big work to pay somebody to come and take care of.
@@chefevilee9566
Thanks.
Lee Michaels I have a question, can they free range and come back at night like chickens?
I have a huge garden but no enclosures, my chickens just roam everywhere and come back because they know that their home is the chicken coop, do ducks do the same or they might just fly away or run away?
I just discovered your channel last night and have been binge-watching. I can totally identify with your sense of urgency to get away from "civilization". And you're absolutely adorable! Excellent job on all of your projects and so tickled for you!
My son put me on to your channel. It's brilliant! Thank you for letting us in on your life, your videos are so refreshing.
Great video. Here in New Mexico, on the high desert, we don't have slug problems so much as ticks but letting the chickens out to free range during the day totally eliminates the ticks and all garden pests. Plus they fertilize the garden as they go. Natural, organic fertilizer and pest control! What could be better. Keep up the good work, you are an inspiration!
Agree,
I was stunned at the beauty of the green fields of Ireland when I first saw them. Tis truly the greenest green I have ever seen.
I am laughing out loud at your three little *vacuum-cleaners* đŠđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
"Charming creatures", I agree 100%! Glad to see all is well in your world.
Awe your sweet ducks are so adorable. They came right to you so cute.
Thank you for this video. I have had ducks for years, some of them lived for years. At this point we have two 12 year old runner ducks and 5 young runners, two drakes and three ducks. We live in a northern part of Canada so winters are an issue. I loved seeing your duck house and the cleaning solution. Will use that. We have a serious predator problem so unless we are with them they must be protected by pens made of 1/2" metal mesh with NO gaps. In the winter they need heat. Runners are so delightful and your video really was a wonderful illustration of that! Thanks again!
Im 16 right now, once I finish college I will work so I can help my family move from our suburbia home to a more rural area and enjoy life like you!
AHHhhhhh, SoooOOOooo nice to see your EVER-SMILING face again! WHAT 'JOY' you exude young man! You make me pine for having some land of my own! WELL DONE! Your intelligent, well-researched, decisions and the GENUINE LOVE, you put into all you do...are so VERY 'Evident'! If I were a DUCK or any animal on your farm, I would feel as though I ended up in a 'Garden of Eden'! HEART, HEART, HEART! You place yourself as though into the very animal you incorporate, considering practicality, budget, safety for; animal, yourself and from predators . Materials are wisely chosen, environment at the forefront. TRULY, this is both; entertaining and informative. I realize, and though only in part, that you have much to consider, but it would make a good guide to format these videos into book form. I pray for your well-being 'Mossy Bottom' and look forward to following videos. Due keep SMILING...it ails all that is not! God Bless you!
What a lovely comment! Thanks ever so much for your support! :)
then he better not make the mistake made there!
For all the difficulties of my life these days, the one thing I can count on is a smile when i watch your life. I wish your ducks a long and healthy life. :)
Three angels so cute.
The ducks are just loving life !!!
They are so adorable!! Although I have to admit that nugget is my favorite too... shhh donât let the other two know.
Watching from New Zealand. Good to see you back. Love your ducks.
Worked six months on a homestead in the high desert (4500') with a dozen Indian Runners (and chickens, game hens, and turkeys) and they seemed pretty happy without a pond of any kind, which would have been impossible to keep clean for them anyway, would have had to be an artificial pond in a very arid climate with an emphasis on water conservation. Other ducks might need water to swim in but not Indian Runners. Also they like to hear your voice as much as possible, I'm always talking to them or singing around them. They can be really high-strung little birds until they get accustomed to you, and hearing your familiar voice calms them down. You raise them from ducklings, they follow you everywhere. The Indian Runners were totally free range all day long, always stuck together as a flock, and would be waiting to be let back in their enclosure same time every evening, not like the chickens trying to roost in the trees if you ever forget to put them to bed.
I enjoy your videos very much. You make envious of your peaceful pastoral lifestyle.
So glad you have the ducks quality of life at heart..u look after your animals well...Arrh s cute in the water area.
They love swimming and ducking under the water,so delightful to see.
So glad you're back! Have missed your videos. And the ducks....yes, they do belong to the water pond with out a doubt :)
All ducks Like water But it is not necessary IRD / Cayuga's / Khakis Need big pools even less .....Hell Cayuga ducks are a mountain Duck No ponds up there
My Brother and family are visiting your wonderful country during the month of July. Love your ducks !

Charming, the ducks, the dog, the cows, the land, the duck house, and you! Keep it up.
Your ducks are wonderful. Great to see how happy they are in their gorgeous home. Love the bit at the end âĄ
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and energy with us all. Our Indian runners are arriving at our Homestead in north West Spain tomorrow! đŠ
Loved seeing your runner ducks. The final shot with the cows in the background and the green rolling pastures was so beautiful. You are truly blessed. I am stuck in the city/suburb of Atlanta, Ga. in an apartment right now.We had a 1 acre homestead with a brick cottage that needed renovating, but we lived in it, and we paid cash and had a $6000 well put in for fresh water. Then my 2yr old grandson went into the hospital 2 weeks before Christmas 2yrs ago, and was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia . My daughter rented us an apartment so we could be near them during this trying time and help take care of our granddaughter who was 7yrs old at the time, while little Jackson started chemotherapy. We planned on staying for at least 3 or 4 months so we had all the electricity and gas cut off at our house and sold our heritage breed chickens. We knew we could restock when we came back home. Then one night we get a call from our neighbor, someone broke into our house and started a fire in the living room, and burnt our house down. It would just so happen, while we were going through the fear and heartbreak of dealing with Jackson's health and treatment, we had forgotten about our annual homeowner's insurance coming due. The bill was waiting for us at the post office as we had our mail held until we came back. Not having a house or car payment, and paying off the utilities and having them shut off, we thought we had nothing to worry about paying until we got back home. Of course, we were over 30 days late on the annual insurance payment, so they would not cover the fire. So now we are stuck living 2 and a half hours away in a big city area in an apartment, and I really miss growing my organic heirloom vegetables, and eating grass feed organic eggs from my heritage breed chickens. So, never take for granted how blessed you are to live on the land, raise your own food, and enjoy the beauty of animals and nature. I will never take it for granted if we ever get back.
I've been drawing ducklings all well and stumbling on this video made me so happy. Spec to see them in the water, which I agree with you they love. Great work on the duck house. Love your videos. Thank you.

Thank you for your video. You are a beautiful human being and your voice is so calming! Thank you indeed!

I figured when I saw he ducks on Intagram that a new video wouldn't be far behind. The ducks are much more personable (for lack of a better term) than I thought they would be. Nice to see a new video and look forward to the cottage restoration.
Oh my heart, your ducks are absolutely precious! Love the added bloopers at the end. :D
Lovely video, as always.

It is pure joy to watch your videos and see just how beautiful and simple life can be attained with hard work and dedication. Thank you for taking us on your journey.
The place is looking up, and your flock is growing. Love the ducks.
Peace.
I want to see an hour video of those adorable ducks. Amazing video, thank you.
I love your videos. Ducks, chickens and gardening are my happy things
Your ducks are adorable! The duck house you designed looks terrific; practical and attractive. They definitely enjoyed their swim. We are facing a hot summer and more drought here in S. California, so it's a treat to see your green, green land, and natural water source. No foxes here that I know of, but raccoons, opossums, and skunks cause trouble. My cats scowl at them through the back windows. Our canine predator is the coyote; they can get as big as Moss, and have learned the scavenger's life, coming into residential neighborhoods, even killing small dogs. I have seen reports where they came inside homes through the 'dog door' to nab an suspecting pet. Glad you have Moss on guard.
Thank you for sharing with us!!!
Thanks for providing some good tips about duck raising. I had the good fortune of having a couple of duck friends a few years ago, and you are so right about their timid nature. They'd stop by my house every day for a pan of fresh water, and we would hang out together for a while. Very affectionate, very emotional. I miss them every day since we moved. I'm so glad you 'get' them :-)
Lovely videos. I live in a rural area in Australia. So I have really liked watching. Since primary school I have done a lot of growing vegetables, bush walking, swimming, horseriding.đ

Howdy from South Texas. Great video and some really good Tips. Enjoyed it.
Thank you for this! I almost always have my breakfast of eggs and garden veggies sitting in front of a CZcams video or two and this one made me smile... a lot. I wish I could have ducks, but I can't deal with the preditors where I live in SE Texas USA, namely rat snakes, coyotes, bobcats, and our own species of fox. I would cry a river if I lost a duck or a chicken. So, yes, thanks again because I love to see success stories and happy animals. ;)
