Poor lads.. must have been tremendously difficult for them, and you can see the both of them are on the verge of breaking down through the entire song, but they both battled through. Thank you Brian, and Roger, for everything.
Tigerrre I know....I've watched interviews with Roger, and there are times he is on the verge of tears when he talks about Freddie.
Think the one that got hit hardest was John, since his father died when he was young, Freddie was almost like a second father to him. When he died, John fell into a depression and quit music except for 3 occasions, the freddie Mercury tribute concert, a charity concert and when they recorded this song

Freddie was a great loss to the world. I cannot imagine what it was like for these guys. They go way deeper than what appears onstage, and they go back way over 40 years. That - is painful.

You can hear the emotion in their performance, but in different ways. You can hear the tears in Brian's voice at first, and then he really drives it home. For Roger, he puts all the anger and frustration over what happened into the power behind his voice. Definitely the best rendition I've heard, and I think it's the best Brian's ever sounded live. Wowweeeee I'll be in the corner, drowning in my tears.

@@nanaprn7809 They were actually "formed" pre 1970 (Brian & Roger) but they were Smile until they changed their name to Queen at Freddie's suggestion. Roger still has a diary entry on the day they decided to call themselves Queen. They had a very rough start as a band mainly due to mismanagement by Trident so Queen did a lot of concerts and UK tours but were totally broke as Trident skimmed all the takings into their well lined pockets.

maybe it's just me, but of the entire group it sounds like roger's voice was the only one that didn't have major changes through the years
Antonino Costa I always compare Freddie's vocals from the Live at Wembley show to anything they've turned out of the studio. Whether it was early queen or stuff from Made in Heaven album he doesn't sound the same. Not saying thats bad, just a difference in sound. Brian's still sounds similar to the album days, just has more years on it now.
I'd have to say Brian's voice is the one that hasn't changed over the years. Roger's voice has gotten a bit raspier with age, but not by much.
Fred's voice changed drastically from the early days to as early as 1980/81in part due to nodules on his vocal chords.

Wow! The pain on that stage was almost palpable. I think we've tended to focus on Freddie & the incredible loss we all felt when he died that we forget how much pain Brian, Roger & John must have felt when he passed away. This is an incredible tribute to what Freddie meant to them.

I walked into the Marche in Montreux to this playing on the speakers. I crumbled. M. Richards tilted my face towards his and dried my tears with his handkerchief, and we were suddenly surrounded by friends, old and new. I will never forget that moment, shared with my beautiful, kind, compassionate Queen family.

Brian is incredible, I never knew he could really sing until I heard this song. Same with Roger. I was born a decade too late to be a fan of Queen but after Dad showed me Bohemian Rhapsody I loved them, the movie was amazing.

All three surviving members of Queen miss Freddie more than what they will ever admit to. John retired because he couldn't do it anymore without Freddie. Brian and Roger carry on keeping Queen and Freddie's memory alive. I saw a video from a year or so ago with Brian singing "Love of My Life" when Freddie appeared on the screen behind him. Brian was seen with tears in his eyes as the image of Freddie sang the last part of the song. Brought me to tears as well. All three guys loved Freddie.
