this Gambale Arp has a nice suspended sound although it is too wide a stretch for me . I have to stick to 4 fret span or I get carpel I could probably figure this out with other fingering and picking though . kind of how Freidman played vs Becker Holdsworth Tokyo Dream has a Pentatonic lick in the lead break which is easy to play with 2 fingers . ofcourse Allan used all 4
@katalinagonzalezguitar yes it seems a lot of the great pickers like Paul Gilbert were doing their take on what they thought Di Meola or Yngwie was doing . Also Gambale, learned alternate picking before he developed speed picking . I see this all the time how guitar players like 1 player an imagine them as inventing the whole game, where as they actually understood the game and went another way . It is funny if you look up the wiki definition of " music theory " One of the things about it is it differs with culture, also it includes rhythm harmony and history! Something Gambale had said that was interesting is, if you count your intervals from 1 to 13 in a 2 octave scale, you are using music theory
