Absolutely fascinating were the designs broken down to the shapes, then connected. I am really looking forward to seeing the rest!

I know I have said this before, but you truly are a master at this art of Sashiko. I love how you try out different ways of presenting all the patterns and it is always a joy to me seeing the transformations. You make me happy❤

Wow, this process is interesting! I only ever saw the final result, never thought what went before that. Thanks a lot for sharing it!

This is great! I’ve started a notebook where I am drawing different patterns to learn them and the names. Then I will have a collection I can choose from when I want to do a project.

I am inspired to start a project like this! I thought squares or circles of different patterns, but this looks amazing with the patterns flowing into each other. Beautiful!

That looks fascinating - your pattern layout looks nicely balanced.
Maybe the tracing process would have been easier with thinner paper, so that the pattern showed through more clearly? I think the idea might be to have a selection of different patterns already drawn up so you can just pick whichever you want to trace from repeatedly - but that wouldn’t help if you’ve got different grid sizes to adjust every time! 🤔
I think it would still be much easier to do without - especially with your long-standing experience!
I’m looking forward to seeing the stitching. I think it’ll turn out beautifully!

      Thank you as always😊
The tracing process would’ve been easier if I slid in the paper between the layers of fabric. I was seeing it through two layers of fabric😅 I don’t even have enough experience with tracing to notice such a basic mistake!!
Yes. If I used patterns which were already drawn up in the past, it would’ve been easier. However, as you’ve guessed, I wanted to adjust the scale of each pattern for this particular piece, so I couldn’t use the patterns from the past…🤔
I think I’m too used to drawing them on fabric directly😅 but I want to be able to trace them efficiently to accelerate the whole process!!

@@thegreenwrapper that makes a lot of sense! And yeah, that tracing hiccup makes sense. 🤣
Maybe having a 10mm grid on paper would be a more adaptable tracing sheet? It would take out the measuring portion of the process?
