So lovely to see a long term project like this one! so much time ruling up and planning the patterns. I love the red and blue. Thanks for sharing, you're very inspiring :)
It's amazing and looks so pretty. You are so clever. I can't imagine ever being able to work out the stitching direction to produce such a lovely back side.
Very, very nice job. The busy areas are busy, so I also liked the less busy areas. As we say in quiltmaking...it give us a place to rest our eyes! I also liked the 2 identical patterns, next to each other with different thread colors; it helps to see the pattern better. The Japanese names for each pattern mean what? Please and thank you!
very labor-intensive, but also very well done! There is also a lot of brainwork involved, I had already tried simpler patterns and had to think again and again where to lead the tread, great respect for this achievement and thank you for sharing❣
I was so excited to see this post this morning. It looks stunning! I’ve started my first sashiko project and I’m learning so much, like how much practice I need and how talented you are. Thank you for these videos. 🙏
It looks so beautiful on both the front and the back! I’d agree with what you said about placing the patterns with the busier patterns all together, but in spite of that, the overall appearance still seems quite balanced, probably due to the choice of colours you used. Do you think you’ll have another go at something like this in the future? I really love how it turned out.
Thank you! I’ve been making simpler pieces and doing the basics of Sashiko for videos for the last year or so but this is more of what I really enjoy😊 I’d love to do more of these💕
@@thegreenwrapper the multi-episode format really works - I think a lot of your followers were anticipating the second instalment! And it was so worth the wait. It’s really impressive
I would be really intersted to know how long each project takes you to complete. I am going on a trip and want to take a project with me but not one that inwill finish quickly.
I have to say it really depends on the person’s skill level. If you’re taking a project like this, maybe you can stitch one pattern per day? I did this over a few days for the videos but I’d rather take more time when I stitch for myself. Enjoy your trip and stitching💕💕
Hi! I’m happy to help but I actually don’t know the pattern. I found multiple Sashiko designs called Uchiwa online but they all seem to be someone’s original designs than a traditional pattern. I can demonstrate if it’s a traditional pattern👍
That’s a Sashiko thimble which you can purchase commercially. I also use one I’ve made by myself. My current tools are in this video if you are interested😊⬇️ SASHIKO tools and materials I'm currently using - March 2024 - czcams.com/video/0sILBEK9JvI/video.html

Thank you! I’ll try to research and make a video about meaning of the patterns😊💕

@creepycutiecrafty6637 Oh I’m so glad to hear that💕 Thank you for your support and feedback as always! I really appreciate it❤️😊
@@thegreenwrapper no problem! 🤣 I enjoy learning so much from your projects
Beautiful!!!! Where can I get the ruler you used almost at the end of the tutorial to re do the pattern that got erased with water?
Thank you! That’s from my daughter’s maths tools she got from her school😂 Maybe you can find it at a office supply shop👍

Can you demonstrate how to stitch the fan pattern? I think it’s called uchiwa.

Please show the palm thimble that you use, and where can I buy one. Thanks, Joy Fuller
