    Hey Chris,
    Gary here from the UK. Great videos and advice. Keep them coming RV buddy. I have a Rockwood 5th wheel using a Nautilus P4 system which seems to be working in normal operation (water flowing to the shower & faucets ok), 9:16 but if I put in to Sanitise mode the pump keeps running but no sanitising fluid is sucked from the bucket. Any ideas ? I suspect it might be something to do with the check valve on the City Water connection and associated pressure.
    Kind Regards,
    Gary

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  Před 2 lety +1

      You could I suppose but I wouldn’t recommend it. Your fresh water tank and lines are made of materials that could be damaged by pure bleach. Pure bleach could be corrosive to some plastics straight up. Even on campers that don’t have the nautilus panel where you you can add water straight to the water tank and you could dump the bleach straight in using a funnel it’s still recommended to dilute it first. 👍🏼Appreciate you stopping by and watching.

    What is the point of pumping out the entire fresh water tank(into holding tanks) after the water and bleach solution has been in there for 8-12 hours? Could you not just dump the fresh tank ,drain low point drains, refill fresh tank with fresh water(add vinegar to help with to remove bleach taste). Pump fresh water through lines to get bleach water out. This would reduce the amount of bleach water in your holding tanks. I would think bleach in holding tanks would mess with the Microbiology of the holding tanks.

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  Před 6 měsíci +1

      It’s such a small ratio that it doesn’t mess with anything. And yes you can totally just dump the tank which I’ve done before but some people get upset about that just because they are concerned about the grass and crap.
      They actually make these sani system water packs now that you can use and pump through the system! Much better. You can find them on Amazon.

  • @joycecleary3500
    @joycecleary3500 Před rokem

    Don’t have sophisticated system like yours. We use a product called “Clobber”. Add water pour it in turn on faucets to pull through. Add to toilet. It creates a gas that gets to every nook and cranny. Let sit 30 minutes. Drain. Run some water through to rinse. Completely disinfected. (They also have a product for ice machines (full of bacteria).

    • @WhyWait
      @WhyWait  Před rokem +1

      I’m going to say no. If you purchased it from somebody and it’s only new to you then yes! Lol
      But straight from the factory I would just flush everything real good. This mainly to clean out any mildew/moldy areas that might have built up in the tank or lines from being wet so long. I do recommend getting the proper water filters and not just a basic inline charcoal filter that filters nothing but grit basically. Check this out if your interested.

      @@rdance3 oh interesting. Yeah I can’t speak on that since I don’t know about that style RV nautilus system.
