Evening Lee great video as always. I would be interested in the Vauxhall astra tourer mate. Would you take a part exchange on Peugeot expert pannel van 14 plate. With 102,823 miles with 10 mots and p/h/s. It does still have finance lefted on it still to pay.
Is it possible to order a specific car from you, or it has to be one from your stock? I am asking because after all those vids I think you are one of few really honest car seller in this country
i knew that Volvo would be popular but that was bonkers!! my mechanic friend has had one for years and ever slept in it at a festival
26:50 what an effing guy!! Fair play. I wish 99% of manager's had your view. Respect mate.
XC70 is one of the very few proper cheapy cars.
Gotta know what you are looking at though, can rapidly turn into a money pit it you’re not careful as now they’re getting on a bit underlying condition can vary greatly and electrics/management don’t like any lack of use ( though that can be said of most cars) Just know what to look for. They are a great car but my eye is always drawn to the rear wheels which always sit forward in the rear arch which always makes them look a bit odd side on 😂 ps yeah cheap at the oldest version and very high mileage end of the market but I’ve seen a tidy facelift 09 D5 priced at £9.5k just because it has under 100k miles so again things vary a lot and as said the later or lower mileage one are anything but cheap but still alot of great car for the money lol
Volvo xc70 would be a nice thing for a hunting, shooting, fishing type or equestrian. Tow a horse box or trailer. Safe in the snow or ice. Would not like to be big mileage with it cos of the fuel range but a great job for the right person. I have a 2011 XC90 really enjoy her and run her alongside a 2012 Mondeo, both good cars in my opinion nice running dirty diesels and though it may sound soft I am not get screwed over by huge hp payments for even a fairly modest cars and won’t be getting an EV anytime soon.
Can't beat a large volvo estate
Been watching your channel for a while. I really love your videos. Especially your catch phrases like when starting a car for the first time "Never in doubt!". Your whistle when you like a car and of course "Bright thing that". Keep up the good work!
Thanks david 👍😁
ECU Testing is a brilliant company and service, I really can’t praise them enough, highly recommended 👍
I felt your pain over the Volvo Lee, .... back in the day I was in a similar situation with a motorbike, ........... bloody nightmare
Thanks for the update, and thanks for the content. You clearly need to buy more Volvo's to sell if you had a lot of interest in that XC70
Why remove the towbar on the Astra? It could be a good selling point.
I agree...
Personally I’m not too concerned with a few little marks or dings on any car I’ve ever bought, I was always more concerned with a full service history, clean chassis and good engine and transmission, I expect marks and dings but I always got a mechanic to inspect before buying, nice post Lee
The XC70 is a brilliant car, I have one its a 2009 2.4 diesel, had one owner before me and serviced every year at Volvo. Thought I got a steal at 4k. absolutely love it. Get about 30 around town but just over 40 on a long run. Have seen quite a few for sale when I was looking for one, but were always sold by the time I rang up. After living with it for a month I realise why everyone wants one. Brilliant car so reliable.
You ought to have a word with Geoff Thompson of Geoff Buys Cars, it’s his fault that people have cottoned on to old Volvos!
Your response to the Volvo reminds me of when we used to sell just Rover 75's back in 2005 - 2009 after MGR went bump.
I set up in 2005 the day of the MGR demise.
I had a collection of 800's here at the time including the amazing hand-built Coupe 825 but went to ADT Auction in Measham to look at all the bankrupt new Rover stock, many of which had obviously been stored in fields.
I bought a 1 year old Royal Blue 75 Connoisseur fully spec'd with cream leather with just 10k miles for £10k.
After driving a nearly new 75 I quickly fell out of love with 800 series and sold them all !
All MGR stock literally halved in £££ overnight after the demise but I knew these cars would be highly sought after and parts wouldn't be a problem as it wasn't Rover who made the parts anyway.
I sold that one in 3 days to the Greenkeeper of Carnoustie Golf club North of Dundee.
I rushed back to the Auctions and bought one 75 and one ZT
They sold like hot cakes.
I couldn't get enough of them.
I sold about 300 of the Marque up till about 2008 when all the newish stock had dried up.
The pinnacle for me was buying a 75 online (this is when buying online from a live auction had just been introduced)
I clicked BUY button at the poolside of a Portuguese Villa we were on holiday in.
By the time we got home it had already been delivered AND I already had a buyer for it.
I built up a waiting list by this time especially for Connoisseur Diesel Tourers.
Then I got inundated with servicing enquiries and repairs, and I already had all the Rover equipment from a local Main Agent who went bust.
I've been busy ever since keeping them on the road.
We still look after a few original owner 75's which is great testament to the Marque.
Incidentally I run a Tourer CDT as a daily and my wife runs a nice ZT 190 in that amazing Twilight blue purple colour, we've had both since 2007, great cars and they have saved us the price of a house by us not having £500 a month lease cars like folk we know pay 😊
There's very few new cars which appeal to us.
Need to start getting some Volvos in mate lol. Nice update hopefully can get some of the stock in the corner on sale soon. Glad sales are strong 👍🏻
People that think 100k miles is high on cars of today are stuck in 1984 most cars these days will do twice that mileage no problem if maintained properly
That little touran is a cracking buy for the money
Nice to see someone selling cars for so cheap 👍
Our 2.0 Mondeo has done 205k miles. 100k a good time to buy a car imo. Our last two cars we've bought on 100k and had very few problems, in fact, the DPF is the only real issue I can remember having to fix in the last 10 years of motoring on 'high mileage' cars.
There’s a channel on here out of the Netherlands run by a mot station and they specialise in examination of high mileage cars. 500000kms common some with a million. Ordinary cars too berlingo, 206. Etc. petrol and diesel. You are right just keep them maintained
Not Vauxhall.
@@johnhigginbotham8291
Yes Vauxhalls too
A car starts going rapidly down hill when people start fitting aftermarket parts or fitting parts when they have no clue in mechanics
@@johnhigginbotham8291
My sister has had this from new....
2010 Astra Estate
Diesel 2.0 Auto engine code A20 DTH
She's covered 185k absolutely trouble free miles.
I do the servicing and MOT every year and I can categorically tell you it's needed nothing apart from tyres brake pads, fluids and filters.
Oh one year it needed a number plate bulb !
Truly has been an astounding car and 50mpg
So much so she wants another one but obviously low miles if there's one out there.
Cash waiting for the right one.⚠️
Enjoyed that-Thank you.
Great stuff and great to hear things are going well 👍 + well deserved in my opinion !! ( old saying ; " Make hay while the sun shines !! " ) .
Most enjoyable, That's life mate!better that way than the other, Bill.
I'm buzzing for you. And the growth of the car pitch. And you tube channel.
Great videos to watch, very professional keep it up guys
That's absolutely crazy about the XC70😅 I struggled juggling enquiries about my Audi TT from 2 or 3 people, I would have a meltdown with that level calls😂 Looks like a lot of nice tidy stock on the pitch, the wee blue Ka especially 👌
Never knew volvo were that popular lol
Top stuff Lee. Enjoyed that m8
I bet your doing better than main dealers, it is one people want. Great video.
Great stuff again pal..so interesting.
Great to here you have a new member of staff. Great video as usual too. 😎
Thanks 👍
Nice one Lee, Topdon 2000 arrived 2 days after ordering. What a piece of kit fully charged it from the USB in my M/H and it started My Herald Pickup first turn of the key and the same for an Pug convertible that hadn't been run for 2 years. The 4 XC 70's in the garage all started as well. Cheers K.
I had same on a polo, a coil pac goes and it blows the management fuse.
Good update Lee cheers. Definitely the best channel on CZcams!!! Regards, John 👍
Great video Lee, sorry I didn't recognise your voice when I called about 1.2 Auto 😂
😁
Great video mate
Was going to contact you about the Volvo, glad I didn't now. Excellent video Lee. Regards Jim.
Thanks again fella
Time you became a Volvo specialist!
Really pleased things are going so well . Matt at High Peak auto's started you tube a few years ago and look where he is. similar small pitches although different price points . Customers want value for money but reassurance who they are buying off
Lee … and breath ahh. Nice long vid and good to hear the new employee is settling in , it does take a little while but with good people around they find their stride 👍
Hi Lee. Wow, nice Astra, good colour and with the 1.6 engine. Congrats on the new staff member. It looks like you're very busy, Lee. Good complaint. Good video again, bro. Stay safe, chat soon. 😅🇨🇮
Had similar to your Volvo a few years ago… we had a Peugeot 406 I think it was a 2.0 petrol
Advertised it on gumtree…the phone melted off the wall…guy came up from the smoke and drove it off to the docks to ship it off to Africa
He said a few days earlier he’d got onto a plane at stanstead to Scotland on the promise of first refusal of a 406. Flight took off up up he went then ping…text to say the car was sold and gone!
…and he’d only got a one way ticket!
I had a 406 coupe 2.2 diesel for sale in Edinburgh, dude flew up from London , walked 500 yards from the airport to my yard , bought the car without any fuss and was gone back to London with it in 30 mins , he said he was exporting it to Nigeria where the engine alone was worth all his costs
good video Li. an aero-blade mixed with a conventional wiper blade drives me nuts too. its like mixing British and American spelling in a color catalog program 😁
btw, I see the micro NY Taxi is still there lol.
🤣 Yes its just hanging out in the corner
@@carukchannelpop a towbar on it and connect a similarly themed caravan serving bacon butties, tea and coffee. everything has to earn its keep you know
Not sure what the story is with the blue Rover 100 - P/Ex? - I guess not retail stock but don't scrap it since there could be good enthusiast demand for it sold as seen.
don't worry Its mine, we did a video on it early last year, starting to order parts to get it back on the road for the summer.
Nice one Lee wow that was mental about that Volvo but good to see the pitch doing well have a Top week Lee 🙂🔧🎥✌️
with wheel trims i do wish dealers put brand trims on to the car, my first car had horrid trims so the first thing i changed was some good ford trims and the car looked miles better. they do no cost much more but make a much better look. fiat 500 i think you get trims what looks like smart alloys, don't know the cost but i feel they look very smart and at distance they look like alloys you have to look close to see and that what you want. trims i changed they brand new but ended up in the bin because they were non ford it just caused more hassle as i just wish they put ford ones one than set non brand
Great vlog. Glen.
Who's glen I thought this is lee
passed a Corsa 1.2 today - Jesus the noise the timing chain was making was beyond belief
I find a big problem with buyers of cars at these prices is they do not understand they are not a forever car .... Its about knowing when you have had your use out of a car and when to bale. For me the pick out of this bunch is that Note.
Love ure content Lee. I wonder if u could have put the Volvo up for Auction and made viewers aware so they could try and buy...
In January you said the used car industry was dead and stock prices were crazy high.
In February you said prices had slumped and were coming down to what they were pre covid.
Now you can't cope with demand.⚠️
I'm confused
But hey this trend pattern happens every year from what I've seen 😅
As usual, really enjoyed watching. I have just started part time for a new private ambulance company, eventually they will need vehicles, would trust yourself. A challenge for you, to find ambulances for sale.
Wow, you guys are busy! Great job on fixing up all those cars and getting them back on the road. Especially that Volvo XC70 - those things are tanks! Looking forward to seeing it all cleaned up. Also, thanks for the tip about Carwow - I'll have to check that out. By the way, that blue Ford Focus looks like a great little car - how much are you asking for it?
That astra is clean but I never understood why vauxhall made a 1.6 non turbo Sri as it’s only got 114 bhp and it’s not exactly sporty. If it was a turbo 150 bhp car then it would be a proper sri worthy of the badge
I had a diesel Sri having bought it read the reviews so many problems. The 1.6 petrol must be a better option.
Sri is more related to the trim level these days that a high performance model. The 1.4 turbo engine 150bhp in Astra k suffers from lspi and it can be an expensive fix. The 1598cc petrol is a very trusty engine just needs cam belt on schedule
@@davidfoy3911 they also made a 1.6 turbo model which should of been the base engine for the Sri and not the asthmatic non turbo 1.6 which barely moves out of its own way
The astra has got the worry wheels , it has wheels for a 1.6 turbo astra , your car did not have them wheels from new !
The engines in those Fiat 500s are bomb proof ive had one as a courtesy car the last few weeks , not a fast car at all but it has taken a lot of abuse that ive thrown at it and after 1000 miles in 3 weeks its still running lol , where i live near Windsor all the girls drive them they are the most popular small car
I do like the focus. Does the mondeo have the old engine and not the ecoboost engine.
I wanted the volvo but too late
Brilliant wee chnl love it . Wish you would do range rover sports round 8 10 grand they d fly out . If you do get in touch 😅
I'm constantly on the look-out for a small car with towbar, yet often they are removed before sale. Weird.
I spy a rover metro 😂 nice to see you still got it lee love the whole rover and mg stuff meyro are good cars no matter what anyone says best bit is if you take the back seats you got you self a chep small van i remember they did a diesel one they had the Peugeot 1.5 xu in them so rare now 😢
Glad I weren't the only one who saw the metro
Yes had a couple of 1.5 diesels, even had a 1.4 diesel which would not pull the skin of custard 🤣
Also £3295 for a 2011 Fiat 500 is a bit steep , Here near Windsor you can get a good 2014 Fiat 500 with low miles for £3500 so yeah must be expensive up north now.
What mileage does the Mondeo have on it mate?
Hi, do you run a website where we can see what’s for sale or is it just facebook? A very interesting channel I’ve enjoyed following the journey 🎉
Should I send my daughter round tomorrow to ask about the Volvo? She'll have her suitcase with her as well as her cheque book lol. On a serious note I've either owned or driven nearly all the days you have.
Uncle Bulgaria is driving around in an XC70 now. 🤣🤣
should have just stuck a price on volvo first come first served job sorted lee !
❤
What about the c max !! I watched you walking close to it but you never mentioned it . I have been waiting for you doing a video on it but was disappointed when you never gave it a mention 😕 . The focus and the c max are the most reliable cars on your pitch please give them mention . I have a c max titanium and even though it's a 2008 it's so so reliable and fun to drive 😉.
You must have done very well with the Volvo.
Not really couple of hundred pounds made and moved it on, thanks for watching bill 👍👍
Would you say cat n cars take longer to sell ? I have a few & feel like it’s putting people of even though I’m 20 / 30 percent cheaper …
Hi what is renault scenic on 60 plate you never talk about it
the XC70 is a car that are popular with the caravan community and horsy people and it would be a bad dicision to remove the tow bar from the Astra an estate perfect for caravaning
15:53 great colour. Crap wheel trims mate.
I want a xc90...im going to Bulgaria next year for good..2022 40k seeems reasonable
If you think the response on the XC70 was mad, don't try and sell a Rover 75. I had a diesel estate automatic version that owed me £900 on a part-x. I had made a nice margin in the car I had sold, so I just wanted my money back on it, so stuck it on eBay on a 7 day auction at £950. It sold for £2200, but I had well over 400 emails in a week about it, There were people coming to view it every day, some driving 4 or 5 hours. It was horrendous. Nice profit at the end of the whole deal, buy my god did I speak to some amount of donkey's.
Time to get some volvos in stock 😂
The Yellow Fiat 500 never got a mention this time, aawwww
To painful to talk about 🤣
Your website where we can buy a car?
I will be selling my 05 X70 D5 auto in the next few weeks. Sounds like I could do well…🤞🏻
Volvo’s are always ready for sale, you missed an opportunity there.
You will do if my experience was anything to go buy
Lee does the Ford KA (fiat 500 ford badged) has the same issues with their gearbox as the 500's because i see a lot of videos lately of the 500's and their issues with the gearbox
I'd say so considering his KA needs a gearbox
Did i see a blue metro?
That’s probably the difference a successful youtube channel does to your business, and still gets ad revenue which can also be a lot.
Well I'm from Bulgaria and I got the Volvo!
Nah, just kidding, I don't have it.
But I'm still from Bulgaria though.
Great job Lee. Loving your content.
Thanks nigel
👌👌
You need to get into Volvos Lee to make some money lol.... is the blue Metro yours?
That Fiat 500 pop needs the alloy wheels off the yellow one you have got which has been hiding up
The wheels on the yellow one are like the rest of the car, shocking 🤣
@@carukchannel 🤣
Sounds like you need to become an XC70 dealer...
I don't advertise anything till it's ready bud, saves all that hassle.
Hi I have a Volvo V60, 2012, D3, 2.0 , 5 cylinders currently is 250 000 miles, does enyone believe I can sell the car and how much approx to ask for..?
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I reckon the gods are trying to tell you something there Lee about the Volvo. Maybe you should buy one or two and put them up for sale and see what happens? You could be on to something there mate??? Could be a bloody good earner??? 🤔
Lee auction it 😮
Was tempting
very interested in that mini you’ve got for sale!! my grandad is a frequent watcher of your channel and always tells me about your cars, if could drop you an email or something to arrange to have a look around.
Hi are you selling your recovery truck ?
Get to the auction and buy as many Volvo xc 70s as you can 😳😎🙈🙈🙈
7:48 who read shmee 😅 you need to message him.
Have you got any Volvo XC70s in stock mate ?😀
Not a sausage 🤣
Maybe focus on XC70s then….
Lee, have you still got the Volvo XC70 😁
🙈No 😁
