I love all of them but Mitch, guy with the black hair, is hands down one of my all time favorite singers. He has a 6 octave range. You can pick any of their 200+ songs and not go wrong. They have a lot of evolution of videos. Their transitions between songs is flawless

You are so right....Mitch does sound like MJ. Kirstie (rhymes with thirsty) also does a great MJ. Scott, in the middle, is the king of riffs. Avi, the bass, on the lower left is really killing it with his bass and Kevin....the beatboxer...is changing the beat so many times expertly. Kevin doesn't sing much, but it is so fun to hear him sing in this.
Mitch definitely has a massive range. He's like if someone took Michael Jackson and merged him with Freddie Mercury.

Guy in hat in front is Kevin...he beatboxes and plays cello (at same time) and beautiful singing voice!!! Avi also front row (left group amicably in 2017) can sing 2 notes at once!!! It's called "Overtone" singing...its very rare of a gift!!! Mitch back row that you kept pointing out has a CRAZY range!! Scott in middle back also incredible range and even takes over the baseline when the bass has a solo singing part!!! You should really check out their performances from "The Sing-off season 3" to get a feel of where they started and how much they have grown into who and brand-new honorees for next year's star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame!!! Kirstin and Mitch can also do amazing whistle notes...yes there is a video out there of it!!! So huge of a rabbit hole u have stumbled upon and can not wait for more!!! Stay safe and healthy

Thanks for doing this one... it's my favourite of their "Evolution" videos. Not sure what your music taste is, but they do a great rap cover in "Can't Hold Us" and "Problem,' super spirituals with "Amazing Grace" and "The Prayer," a phenomenal upgrade of Kiiara's "Gold", which you will appreciate much more if you're familiar with the original, and, of course, their version of Queen's classic, "Bohemian Rhapsody." So much yet to enjoy!
You must do The Prayer next. It is their newest and possibly their next Grammy winner. It is so touching that it makes me cry every time I hear it. Just beautiful.

Dude, I can’t speak for everyone else, but you’re absolutely right on the acapella groups making all the sounds without any instruments. I got hooked with Pentatonix years ago. About a year ago I came across Homefree, and Voiceplay in the last few months. So freaking awesome! All of them! Each different from the other, but all are badass! You got a long way to go to catch up my man, and I mean a LONG way! And on top of that, they break off and do some individual stuff! The amazement never stops! Keep at it brother!

There is a live version of this along with three ORIGINAL SONG THEY WROTE and it's called popsprings. It was televised in Japan where they performed it. Just search ptx popsprings. Also PLEASE REMEMBER THIS ONE THING. When not if you are asked to do aha! Singapore KEVIN IS THERE. During the choral interlude he is putting away his cello bc he had just performed his piece by celloboxing which he invented which is playing the cello and beatboxing at the same time. I'm still trying to get over the fact that you had never heard Bohemian Rhapsody. Don't know if anyone mentioned it but it's a cult classic. The format is a Rock Opera.

There is no such thing as a 'bad' song by PTX(Pentatonix). But I have a favorite challenge, go search a list of PTX music, pick your absolutely lease favorite song ever that PTX does a cover of and listen to it, then pick a song PTX covered that you think could never be done better than the original, listen to it. In both cases you will find a lot more reasons to love PTX.
Another recommendation: look up 'Adam Rupp Drum Solo'. That's the beatboxer from Home Free. It's a super old, kind of crappy video, but it gives you an idea of the talent these vocal percussionists have.
