Game looks fun. Bright and colorful and full of nostalgia. Why did no one else jump on this theme?
Jesse & I will be there at TPF and bringing our custom Dukes of Hazzard pin.
All very valid points Re: monitor/video display assets' importance for modes. Looks spectacular and pulls on the nostalgia heart-strings too, from afterschool cartoon TV and Saturday morning sugar baked childhood cereal comas!! Pretty certain I had that playfield coloring book too in grade-school HA! Great content Cary, love all the content always.
Like that the machine is about gameplay rather than avoiding to drain.
It would be helpful if Spooky put screens at the rule card and Stern connect locations for vital information like bravery and scooby snacks, like Haggis' Fathom Revisited. Regardless, I'm excited for this game.
I bet Spooky's Scooby Doo pin is doing a lot better than the Velma show.
That's a safe bet given Velma is a dumpster fire of tired woke tropes.
That's not saying much lol.
I thought it was good .If you think it’s “woke tropes” what’s that say about you?
So it’s woke ok what are you?
Probably a piece of crap asshole that “speaks his mind “ and we need to “deal with it”
Congrats
@@Mechulus indeed
@@09marathon I knew I'd trigger someone by saying simple truths. Thanks for putting a smile on my face!
It needs something like a boom ballon or pop up trolls/bash or a trapdoor ??? Lower pf subway…on the lower imo
I'm totally in agreement. Looks like a lot of replay value on Scooby. Looking forward to playing it.
They have a game with two scissor flippers like this at Pinball Olympics. Like to the point that I'm guessing that was a big inspo for that bookcase flipper.
I am already in on the CE and now super stoked after seeing some very promising gameplay. Here in the UK where a Premium stern is around $12k a Scooby CE is considerably less albeit they are all expensive this has a lot more going than Bond did! Taking into consideration Toys, innovation and Code so far there’s no comparison IMHO.
It looks a very good game, the theme is respected and the artwork is really cool.
The idea of the scooby snacks it's pretty nice too. Well done spooky!
Game #2 in my Pin collection - the IP was too good to pass up !! C ya in Big D next month
Very nice, thorough review, Cary! Very much appreciated! I truly had zero interest in this pin until I watched your review. Still doubtful about buying one, but looking forward to seeing it at TPF! Might change my mind & plunk down some $$. Thank you!
you hit on a lot of good points on this game. I’m now happy with my day one order and with being #955 CE I can rest easy until it ships
I think it looks like a great game as well.. can't wait to play it and really get a feel for it
I rate this game a “Zoinks” out of “Jankies” Scooby Snacks
The overall package works, animations and art are a cool, the voices from actors are a plus and Spooky gameplay was fun and entertaining. It’s gonna sell but:
Let’s talk about the elephant in the room.
Selection due to risings prices, resource management and the known issues of reliability.
Is it enough for a family, fun, fan layout with no mechs for a lot of ppl to pay 10k?
Specially when other manufacturers (JJP, AP and STERN) will announce new games in the next 4 months?
It’s possible that sales will be slow due to these and other factors. It remains to be seen.
Wish all the best to Spooky and customers anyway…
Can’t wait for #32
I would seriously consider buying a floor model at TPF, if they have some forsale and a their usual floor discount. Looks great.
I like the playfield art and actual original cartoon video. When is your JP review coming? :)
I may do CCR first
I first would like to see the build quality. It was pretty hard to find a Halloween here in Europe, prices for a CE are almost 1.5 x you pay in the US. They have good ideas, but some details are just 🤦 Standard Edition maybe...
I think its Badass!!as a Scooby-Doo fan I'd love one. My kids really love what they saw. Nowchow to get the cash... hmmm i am open to offers lol
Looks interesting. I didn't watch the reveal. Are the colours a bit washed out?
the video quality could have been better. we will get a better idea during the Dead Flip stream.
Agree 100% 👏🏻
In similar vein to what you said about being video-centric, it feels like Spooky really needs to do a better job about adding call outs to their games.
I can’t un see the purple “members” at the bottom of the playfield
🤣 Almost like seeing the "beard member" outline on the LOTR LE back glass.
I used to work there. They use lots of shortcuts of quality that most people can't find. And there are money hungry 20 somethings running the whole show. A "premium" pinball table shouldn't have fixes to playfields done with colored markers. Also they just keep recycling their old designs. You are paying for the same cleverly disguised playfield designs from previous games.
Halloween has similar modes where you need to watch the screen. Trying to kill Michael or when he’s stalking you. Halloween gets a lot of hate but it’s actually really fun and different. It’s just not a theme for everyone.
I agree, it's pretty underrated imo.
I am loving Halloween, the Theme is an A theme for me, but the game plays different than anything else, and it's addictive and fun
It's rated just right. It's a bad game.
@@skippychurch2965 It’s subjective. I would never buy a Ultra Man. But I really like Halloween. I love Guns & Roses as a band. The pinball blows.
Personally, I really like Halloween. Was watching Soirée Pinball playing it on Twitch all morning yesterday and had I not had some responsibilities, would’ve driven an hour to play it in northern Kentucky.
I really like Ultraman Kaiju even more.
Halloween isn’t a bad game.
How many are they making?

@@CaryHardy damn. That's a lot for Spooky.
Good comments Cary, I think it looks great. Can’t wait to see the apron locks in action, are they only accessible from the wire form behind the 2 sets of drops?
@@pinballhans left apron is fed from the scooby habitrail on the far left, and the right apron is fed from the velma habitrail on the right.
If you are saying Spooky should take and sell the games at TPF, then there would be a lot of people upset as that would be significantly jumping in line.
Yea, but they are getting a game that gets beat on all weekend. To some that wouldn't be cool. I don't think they will sell them there. Just wishful thinking.
And they don't charge $1000 for a lame topper
You spelled $2,000 wrong.
I wish I had the funds to warrant getting on the CE for this game. I liked pretty much everything I saw in the gameplay reveal.
I’ve watched it a couple of times too, it looked fun to me, to bad the new series sucks “JANKIES”.
There is NO WAY a spooky game will be easy LOL I own 3 super hard all of them
I ❤Cary Hardy sooooo much more than that cringe Velma cartoon 🤮
Looks good, but after owning a WoZ for many years, I find myself not as interested in widebody games. Ball time is just too long, and the set-ups to get to a wizard mode is like chopping wood sometimes. Maybe Spooky has found a way to make widebody games play like a standard... TNA is their best game yet, hands down. This one rates highly though from what I'm seeing.
the cabinet is wide body but the playing area is a standard size. the only reason its wide is because they wanted to put more into the game. the shooter lane and habitrails use the extra space.
@@CaryHardy Ah thanks for explaining. It certainly looks like a wide body with all the outlanes. I look forward to getting my hands on it some day.
Love the theme and was tempted but the quality issues with my Halloween will keep me away from Spooky.
