Those who don't know. Before 1947 Indian Subcontinent, today's- Bangladesh, India & Pakistan we all were one nation. We all fought together to excavate Britain from our land. Before leaving they created mistrust among Hindus, Muslim other religions. Thus partition took place and Bangladesh, India & Pakistan 3 different states formed. British are well known for creating conflict among countries.

Saying Bangladesh, India, Pakistan were one nation is saying French and Germans were one nation. Why do you think we were one nation before British came? We have distinct language, culture, tradition. I would not want to live under British rule, neither under Delhi's rule as a province in the east. British did divide Bengal based on religion in 1947, which should have done based on language and culture. But saying Bengali, Hindi, Urdu speaking people are one nation is also wrong.

What Britain did was to divide the land because the Indians, of different religions, couldn’t agree on partition. Ghandi and Nehru wanted one country (there was no unified country beforehand) but Ginna wanted a separate Muslim state, otherwise that majority Muslim provinces should be controlled by Muslims. This was unacceptable to Ghandi and Nehru. So what,smart arse, could Britain do when both sides were entrenched? What happened on partition? Between 200,000 and 2,000,000 were killed because they hated each other. As for Bangladesh, even you should know that Ginna wanted to create one Pakistan but the demographic meant West and East Pakistan were inevitable. And what happened to East Pakistan? The people there rose up and overthrew the Pakistan government. Or are you going to try and blame Britain for that too?

I think that's it's worth pointing out that the Jewish communities had faced a long history of displacement and execution across Europe (and especially Russia). I don't necessarily agree that they "do not deserve". They deserved to be provided with safety however Britain had no intention of doing that, they played entirely into their own hands without regard for the Jews or the Palestinians. At this point both sides have been wronged and both sides deserve a peaceful solution. The enemies here are the British, the Americans, and all other countries who played a role in the conflict.
