I put one of those sleeves on my bulky PepperBall TCP and the hot water wasn't enough. I ended up using some silicon oil (same as for lubing the o-rings) and it was able to slide on after some work. For smaller, i.e. normal sized firearms, I'm sure the hot water method is sufficient. Thanks for sharing your experience with the installation.

I have an M&P with a grip like sand paper. I actually sanded down the side facing me. Now I know I can slip one of them grips on it. Thanks

What size of backstrap is installed? maybe you should put the sleeve on the smaller one
