*How to drop extended cab headliner in Dakota without bending.*
Push seats and backrests all the way back, raise steering wheel.
Rotate headliner 90 degrees counter clockwise (front towards passenger seat)
Shove it towards the back of the cab and drop the side below the steering wheel.
    Pull out through passenger door.

I tried several supplier's that said they had those clips but they never shipped. PITA ! is right. Bad design.

I got everything out except for those two pins in the very back, going to try needlenosed pliers next. Had to buy a T45 bit for the seat belts.

Thanks for the video! I used a green headliner made out of marine vinyl. Never done a headliner before this video made it easy

Hey y’all for the clip on the visor since I broke the first one and had to buy a new one it comes in 2 i was going to break the other one lol so I grabbed some locking vice grips right in the center and yanked it off and it came off like a glove !

👍 Thanks so much for this video. It cured me of my hare-brained scheme to try reattaching the old fabric in place. 🤦
The adhesive's silly-string pattern is almost a deal breaker. Looks like the spray fans out at about 3" before converging to a string. Once I get the fabric tacked on in the middle, I'll see if I can stand the whole works on end so the nozzle is in the "sweet spot".

Give it a try. I have done a handful of them and never had one fall yet. Fingers crossed 🤞

I'm in the process of replacing mine. I have a 99 SLT ext. cab like the one you just done and yeah having an extra set of hands would be great and I'm in a wheelchair but managed to get mine out without breaking it thankfully now I'm just waiting for a clear day so I can glue the fabric on. But I'm gonna have to do it outside cause I don't want to deal with the adhesive fumes in my apartment. So in a couple of days it's gonna be cleared up enough for me to do it but it's gonna be cold as heck. Oh well I gotta get it done. You gave me some good pointers in this video and thanks man! Oh and the adhesive I got from where I got the fabric is: Camie 323 and expensive as hell but it says it's high temp, high strength, and water proof for what it's worth.

Awesome! Thanks for the comments and good luck on the install. You got this. I would read on the can and see what the low temp range is for set up.

You can find these a,b;c panels at local pick and pulls. God send. I took my tan panels in the back and found a Dakota with the darker panel to fully match inside.

Thanks for the vid! My 2003 RAM quad cab is just starting to loosen at the front and rear edges. Thumb tacks seem to be holding it for a little while but it's only a stop-gap. Pretty sure I'll be following your lead.
I really wonder if I can get it out through one of the doors though.

No I didn't. I cleaned it off and checked the level it was full. I drove it and checked with a pressure tester and never saw it drip again. This is a family members truck and I will check it again when it comes in for service. It only sees a few miles a week. He is retired. Thanks for watching and I hope you will subscribe to the channel and Like my videos.

I acquired my double cab dodge Dakota without a headliner or panel, so it’s bare but still has spotty foam glued to the top; I want to replace/add a headliner, but how do without a panel?

Dave mentions adhesives at 28:20 and that he's using some Permatex he had on-hand. Glad I sat through the whole thing to learn my Club Cab will be a two-can job. 👍

It's not that bad. Those sun visor parts are discontinued so if you break them good luck finding new ones if you have a old Dodge
