Thank you for taking the time to make this video. I wasn't going to watch any videos, but I removed the 3 bolts and it's hung up by that pin. Before I just went to yanking on it, I thought to myself, take a quick break and make sure lol. I'm just upgrading to LED bulbs on mine and keeping the original housings. The LED's worked great in my Ram, we'll see how they do in the Dakota.

I have a 2000 Dakota Sport, and I am planning to change mine out too. Clean them then they turn yellow again. As for LED"s I tell others to not change over to them. OEM is the best for lights. Saw a car in front of me last year and the lights in the rear were flashing like a police car. I knew that they had changed to LED. Great video, thanks.

Jealous of the weather is an understatement. Us in the northeast are preparing for a huge snowstorm. We have about 3 more months until our Mopars come out of hibernation. Great video as always. Can't wait to see the new and improved Mr. Jone's run the quarter mile.

1st screw is T10 torx bit, not Phillips. Good job looks good! Wish ram/dodge still made dakotas they'd sell well if priced right & didn't have a crappy front end like the 2005-2011 models.

I got the same one except they're the smoked black ones. I found that the middle light on the bottom being situated differently than the stock light was what was causing it not to fit as good as the driver side

I tried LED bulbs in sisters old 99 300m back when it blew the bulbs for the second time because they SHOULD have been lifetime bulbs considering how hard it is to swap the bulbs on those. it turned out 6k color temp looks really white till your actually out driving and the light id actually blue and didn't throw very far out in front of the car, you couldn't see as good as she could with the old Sylvania silver stars it had before. they also only lasted about 6 months before the LED elements overheated and started going half brightness and shutting off. Your also right, the high beams didn't throw out much farther then the low beams besides being blue.
I ended up putting some aftermarket projector headlights in my old 95 Neon and they were so much better then the cloudy yellow lenses on the factory lights, plus the low beam had a low flat beam cutoff and covered much more distance then the factory ones did, and the high beams were like daylight.
If you break or decide to upgrade find a set of projector headlights for it, I think you'll really like them. I paid like 99 bucks for the Neon ones and now they don't make them anymore, but I saved them and put the old ones back in when I got rid of it :) They were worth more then the car was...

Amazing how a new pair of headlights makes a vehicle look so much newer.
Do the factory parking lights clip into the aftermarket headlamp (if you wanted to keep the amber parking lenses)?

If you push the end of the turn signal assembly in hard enough(be smart) the anchor will click into place.

But be careful because the plastic of the anchors will break easily. The OEM stuff is touch, but the Chinese plastic is crap.

For the life of me I don't understand what that triangular corner lens is for because it doesn't do anything... If this was a custom install you could pipe a small turn signal in there or something or a DRL, But it just sits there.... Mocking me in fact I sometimes feel like just painting the same color as the body.

DO NOT REMOVE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. Just reach behind the light turn the clip counter clockwise. & Remove the Bulb & replace. it is three steps that’s it. PULL THE PLUG IN OFF THE LIGHT. Remove the Clip & pull the Bulb. No tool required. Just Hands!
