Great video! The history on KFC was very interesting. Thank for sharing. You have a beautiful family!
Not only did he not serve Mac ^ cheese back in the day, he didn't serve biscuits.
I miss those rolls he served.
Cool video guy's!
This is a great history lesson about KFC. Will and Dawn are a real treasure to share this.
Thanks for sharing this video with me!! Everything looked good!!
Even this museum recognizes the uniqueness of Malaysia! I'm a Malaysian KFC lover and I can't wait to visit this museum soon! đČđŸ
This is so informational , learned so much about KFC as I used to work at KFC. Nice job on the tour, will have to add this to my bucket list of places I want to visit! Thank Will and Dawn!!!!
Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!
JRN really did well on this, and you did a great job covering it. It use to look like just any KFC, now it's a fitting tribute to a legend.
Awesome video guys. There is another place to check off on our bucket list. Thanks for sharing your experience guys. We loved it. William
Thank you so much đ
Colonel Sanders also served ham dinners at his motel in an attempt to increase occupancy at the motor court. One secret to his success was the use of pressure cookers which reduced the time to cook fried chicken. In the 70s the motel was still standing and there was only a small area that served KFC. The Colonel (IMO) kinda got ripped off when he sold his rights to KFC. He continued selling his original recipe chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy in Canada because he wasnât happy with what was being sold in the USofA. In many areas where he franchised his chicken the local franchisee became synonymous with the chicken. Example: in northeast Ohio people used to say Kenny Kings Chicken for KFC, Kenny King was one of the first restaurant owners to be franchised by Colonel Sanders.
Thank you for sharing đ
What a great place to visit, I think also they changed the recipe a little, why IDK, but it does taste a little different, nice to see your Mom and Sister again. Have a great weekend.đâ€ïž
Thanks for the awesome video and visiting our hometown we hope you come back!
We will!
So good to see your family!
đ€đđ
Always nice to see you doing things with family!
Being a Kentuckian KFC has always been a family favorite. You are right about the mashed potatoes but still love them and the slaw lol. Corbin has been a Sunday drive for me many times over the years and we always have to stop and get some KFC. Thanks so much for showing us all the changes and sharing a part of my states grand history. Good to see mom and sis along. God bless y'all.
I enjoy watching yalls vlogs especially in the south
Enjoyed this video very much. I know Harland Sanders is associated with Kentucky, but we live about 20 miles from where we was born and raised, Henryville Indiana, which is around 15-20 miles north of Louisville off of I-65.
Very interesting, enjoyed the history of the restaurant. The food
looked good. I like the white and dark meat, will eat either. Thanks
for sharing.
The exploring adventures east of the Mississippi are endless, glad you guys ventured out of pigeon forge and Gatlinburg. My favorite so far is your trip to florida all the way down to the keys
I donât have much use for Florida basically the state is all vacation, Tourist areas with super high prices and a lot of unfriendly people. I lived in Orlando 53 years ago and couldnât wait to move out of Florida.
@@danbailey96 well their trip looked like a lot of funn
@@danbailey96 I have always really enjoyed my trips to Florida. I feel like it's pretty easy to get out of tourist areas if you just leave Orlando.
@@littlesthobo182 probably Itâs been 53 years lol it may have changed for the better. But then I donât like any tourist trap anywhere. When we go to to the Beach in Virginia we go in the off season âŠ.very few people and we get a beach front suite for a third or less of the summer price. We go usually in October the weather is still warm and we enjoy the area even without the vendors there during the summer.
@@danbailey96 I like a little of both. I enjoy taking in tourist attractions but really love going off the beaten path too.
Thank you so much for K F C. So interesting! Best chicken. You are so sweet,
Looks way better than when I was there!!! Great video and like how you talked about how he never stopped trying but tried again!
Thank you đ
I love it! Always loved the first KFC video, and now we got 2!!!! Yes!!
I didnât know about this. Thanks for sharing. God bless.
Will, before I even start to watch the video I have to say how happy I was to see your mom and sister with yâall đđ..ok, on to the video đ
So glad you guys made it back to Corbin and so glad itâs finally open. Been waiting for so long.

Best chicken around! And your right about the slaw. Good to see Mom and Sis!!â€ïž
So good
Ok Will. I heard that chuckle at 17:00! I donât think you meant to have that come out like it did but it was a good chuckle. đ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł Thanks for the laugh!!!
Wow, they have turned that in to an awesome museum. Your chicken looked delicious, made me hungry!! Cheers x
Cheers thank you đ Helga
Thank you so much for sharing all the KFC history with usđ€đč.. I think he always looks really friendly.. đ€© I too love Kentucky fried chicken,, I love your trip videos â€ïžđâ€ïžđ
great video
What a neat place. We have been but itâs been a long time. đ đ
Would be nice for KFC restaurants around the world to bring back Beyond Chicken and sides for vegan/vegetarian customers.
You went by Bigbear's den glad to see you were here.
Check out Claudia Sanders Dinner House in Shelbyville Kentucky great food it was founded by Colonel Sanders and His Wife enjoyed all your recent videos
Enjoyed the history of KFC. Thanks so much for sharing this awesome adventure.
Thank you so much for watching
I live in Ky. but I have never been to the KFC in Corbin, I do love the chicken and the biscuits, the museum would be very interesting, Will it was good seeing your mom and sister again đđ
I like their potatoes! I do miss their rolls though. They used to have those instead of biscuits.
Thanks for sharing your KFC experience!
Thank you for watching đ
That's about 2 miles from my house .....great job.
yay you guys made it to my home state i have been to that kfc before but its been years ago my parents and i would go there when we would go either to piegon forge tennessee or cumberland falls
I eat a Famous Bowl, popcorn chicken and a side of gravy about once a week!!! I have tried the chicken sandwich and it's very good!!! Nothing like KFC!!!
This was so interesting. You're correct. I rate ALL slaw with KFC's. Who were the ladies with you?
It was good to see the historic memorabilia about the place. I really like their chicken pot pie. Eating chicken is difficult since I had radiation treatments for throat cancer.
I'm so sorry to hear that đ
I'm so sorry Cathy Hennessee. Praying you get better soon. đ
@@bonniebrown6960 ,thank you for your prayers, I am in my 4th year post treatment. My esophagus is scarred on the right side, this is a permanent side effects, swallowing meat is very difficult.
If I knew that you were coming I would have bought dinner!!!! KFC is 5 minutes from my office! I really like the way the new cafe looks.
I'm sure we be back
enjoy all your travels need take a trip back to Cullman Al and visit Ave Maria Grotto and one to Dismals Canyon in Franklin county and see the glow worms keep up the good work
Love KFC and I love the white meat and putting honey and butter on the biscuits! Will and Dawn, really enjoyed your video and seeing your Mom and sister! That's really a cool place and thank you for taking me along with you!
Thank you đ
@@yankeeinthesouth you're welcome!
This is a great video! It would be worth checking out.
Glad you think so!
The chicken tastes so much better there for some reason. My wife is from that area.
wow I justed missed you all I bought a shirt from their and a pair of the socks
Cool, this is my town
The irony in all this is that he regretted selling and grew to despise KFC. He was insulted by what they did to his food and called their version of gravy "wallpaper paste" which isn't too far off. He became a Canadian citizen and his smiling likeness remains a false image about how he felt about the company he sold to.
I have a KFC replica recipe that I found online and my Mother is making me some KFC for supper with biscuits, mashed potatoes, gravy, and Mac & Cheese. đđ This is a delicious video Will and Dawn lol đđ
That's awesome it sounds good đ
@@yankeeinthesouth it definitely is đđ
I canât believe we live in Kentucky and havenât stopped there. Great video. It was good to see your Mom and Sierra hanging out with you guys.
Thank you đ
I need to check out this place in Corbin. I love KFC
Close to where I live. I live in Williamsburg ,ky.
Very cool đ will and Dawn
Thanks will and Dawn

My first job in high school was at KFC. I used to make the mashed potatoes. They are instant and they have a special recipe for making them. I used to add additional butter, salt, and pepper when I made them to make them taste better. I did not work but about a month there and quit. I was in high school and that was back in the 70's so I was just a kid when I worked there. I always had to work in the back. They did not have chicken breasts like that back then, they were called keels. LOL You had a certain numbers of dark and white meat you put in a bucket. Friday nights were a busy night, do not know why. I was in high school and really did not like working nights because I had to study.
Thank you for sharing your memories
ever met the colonel?
Now you need to add the original Shoney's, Krystal, Crispy Cream, etc... Shoney's and KFC both have let their quality go. At one time they were the go to restaurants while traveling.
Was in corbin yesterday
You made me hungry đ Loved the video. It was great to see your mom and sister.
We've stayed in Corbin on our way to Gatlinburg and still have never stopped there. Great video Will and Dawn.
I live about 2 minutes away from. KFC in Corbin Ky
Dig in before it gets cold, lol
Love KFC! My fav is the white meat.
There used to be 3 KFC restaurants here in Rockford, IL now they are all closed.
Sorry to hear that đ
Great video will and dawn đ keep up the good work đ. Just like Colonel Sanders said never give up. Never give up will and dawn keep moving on. God bless
Thank you so much đ
Thanks Will & Dawn. Great video as always. Weâll have to stop to check it out. Itâs been years since weâve gone there.đ
The guy on the cup is Jack Harlow. We lived on ext 49 north of London and would go only to Corbin for KFC. This is the best KFC there is.
Thank you for sharing đ
Need go there some time I Love KFC .
đ
I agree Will! I was thinking basically the same thing about the rooms that use to be there before you mentioned itâŠ..when you were first showing the big parking lot where they used to be! It would have been so nice if they would have saved the old motel rooms and remodeled those so ppl could take the actual tour through there as well. đ
Colonel Sanders and his wife Claudia retired to Shelby County. She opened a restaurant there named Claudia Sanders Dinner House. The food is very good and it is a little upscale but worth a stop if you are ever on the I-64 corridor you should stop.
From what I understand is that the chicken at Claudia Sanders is as close to the original as one can get. I usually get catfish when I'm there, but the yeast rolls are to die for.
@@terrib627 you are absolutely right. The chicken and the rolls are delicious. I honestly could just eat the vegetables, but I usually canât resist the chicken. The Sunday buffet is good too.
thanks
I love the chicken at that colonel sanders it's the best whats the picture of the guy on the cup have to do with sanders
I guess he is a upcoming new rapper from Kentucky
This is controversial but I liked the Beyond Chicken when they had it as a promo. Iâm vegan so I canât enjoy KFC anymore. As a child I use to love KFC. The little wet hand wipes that came in the kids meals my grandma would get for me. I think the recipe when growing up was different than todays.
Thank you Will & Dawn for sharing this with us. I love Kentucky Fried Chicken. I remember the 1st time eating KFC. My family and I had a picnic at a place called Grant Park in Atlanta one Easter when I was about 4 years old. Or at least that's as far back as I could remember. Those old buckets reminded me of that day. đđ
I â€ïž KFCâŠI â€ïž their mashed potatoes and gravyâŠ. I â€ïž the slaw, itâs the best!!! I â€ïž their biscuitsâŠ. I â€ïž their white meat, never eat the dark!
Really looked good. Now I want some KFC. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe
The dude is Jack Harlow a musician. KFC has a meal named after him right now.
Thanks
Thanks for the great video. I have really been enjoying them, especially lately.
Have you actually tried the beyond chicken? I'd be surprised if you thought it was gross. The beyond popcorn chicken and beyond chicken burger are amazing. For those of us who can't or don't eat meat, I think it's a fabulous option.
No we haven't yet đ its definitely on our list thanks Littlest Hobo
@@yankeeinthesouth If you eat meat, there would be no reason to get them, I suppose. I was just surprised when you made a sound like it was gross.
I make KFC coleslaw all the time! Nothing better!
Such an interesting video. Now I want some KFC chicken! I bet Dawn is right about this being the best. đ Who are the ladies with you this time. It looks like you guys a good time together đ
It's Wills mom and sister
@@yankeeinthesouth I thought they looked alike đ
That was Jack Harlow on the cup. He is a rap artist that is from Kentucky. They did a collaboration with him.
Thanks Brandon
