We go there every time on our way home from Pigeon Forge. We do have one 10 min from us but this one is our favorite ❤️

Wonderful video! As an Australian growing up in a small town in the 70's without a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant, it was always a special treat and great excitement when going to the closest city several hours away and would always get Kentucky Fried. People today will never appreciate how exciting it was to see (and smell) that Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the distance as a kid. This video is nostalgic in many ways - thank you!

Another great video from you 2. I’ve went there once back in the early 2000 and it was very cool. About 20 minutes from there is cumberland falls and it’s beautiful to stop and see aswell.

Thank you. I am in still in Ecuador and was just speaking with a friend of the colonel's history recently because I am still thinking of buying a small house in Kentucky. No matter where you go in the world many countries have KFC. In Vietnam they are so popular that there is a two-story restaurant. Unfortunately, many countries do not have col slaw. They only serve french fries. Long live the colonel and Friday's Forever!!! In Spanish it is pronounced " Ka Effe Se".
My family and family friends stopped there on our way to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We enjoyed eating there and the museum. Until then I did not know it started out as a cafe with a motel. From the pictures it looked like an interesting place to spend the night. Wish they could have persevered the motel.
Kentucky Fried Chicken is my favorite fast food restaurant. Great nostalgia there, thanks for sharing.

I've been there years ago. Looks like they improved it since I was there...like an added back room and better parking and sidewalk. They remodeled the original room that has the wood floor and wood ceiling.

Trust me FF, go on to Red River Gorge while in Kentucky. Some good camp grounds there. Go to Natural Bridge(same area)and take the sky lift up to Natural Bridge. You’ll love it!

We were there during Covid & they only had the drive thru open. We also camped in the Cumberland Gap area & really enjoyed it. Guess we will have to return soon!

We stop every once in a while on Dixie Hwy driving back from Smokies. My Dad always told me we were related. It's good chicken but I always preferred my Grandma Harris' fried chicken, she could give KFC a run for the money😋! Keep safe out there you three.

Just wondering if you have a camping video or have you ever camped at Natural Tunnel state park in VA. It looked beautiful when we drove through it coming back home from Pigeon Forge. We also hiked down in the mountain to see the tunnel…..it just about got the best of me hiking back up. Love watching all your adventures
We stopped here as part of our tour last year. Austin that served us was a breath of fresh air, the UK ones are no where close on the quality of the food and service.

I remember a few year’s ago reading an article that said, they did a scientific experiment on his original recipe chicken. It said that there were more than 11 herbs 🌿 and spice’s in it. Wonder if it changed from his recipe ? Fun video. God Bless 😊✝️

I need a road trip to the original location . I think for us here in West TN is it's a dying chain , for me it's changed in quality , taste, & customer service. Guys you didn't get the best side coleslaw . Next time you must put little bit coleslaw , little bit mashed potatoes, and little piece chicken on your biscuit . The KFC food today is good, but that being said I was born in 1955 and the taste of the chicken and the potatoes and gravy that was served before the sale from the Colonel was head and shoulders above what we have today. At that time the food was fantastic so what has happened? Progress I guess…

I love everything about kfc. The only complaint is the excessive amout of salt on the chicken both ov recipe and extra crispy (including whatever specialty chicken). TOO SALTY!!!!! TOO SALTY!!!!
