I have the Roush 5.0L intake in my 2013 Ford F-150, that I purchased from American Trucks 2 years ago.
It made a decent difference in the low end torque and definitely improved the auditory intake noise.
You definitely get more driving enjoyment with this system over the stock intake tube and filter.
Plus maintenance is easy just pull it out every 10 or 20,000 miles , shake it , clean out the inlet bay and re-connect.
Would definitely recommend to all F-150 Coyote owners.
Awesome video! I have a 2013 F150 I'm looking to get a cold air intake for in the future, very helpful!
Pat Schaal go with the S&B or the Banks Ram Air. FYI.
I use the Airaid oval-shaped dry intake. It uses the factory intake piping and has the heat shield. I have been very satisfied with it, so far. Just my $.02
The Stock intake aint too bad. I mean, it's a freaking Coyote Motor.
*POWAHHHHH*
I own one of these trucks and the O.E.M. intake system is really good. If it is sound and power you are after get a K@N filter for your factory air box and get rid of the factory intake sound suppressor.
How do you get rid of the sound suppressor? I already have the k and n filter
I bought the K&N 77-2581KP (polished) off Amazon for upwards for $450. Truck is a 2012 F150 with 5.0 engine. The heat shield bore absolutely no resemblance to the drawing and wouldn't fit. Called K&N and they sent out a replacement heat shield 4 days later that, you guessed it, barely fit but wouldn't work with the intake adapter from the original kit and wouldn't sit flush with the OEM airbox without cutting stuff to allow the filter to sit flush. To add insult to injury, the holes on the replacement heat shield weren't even drilled to attach the filter adapter. It was also missing the gasket for the MAF sensor so after this awesome experience, I packed up the whole kit and caboodle and shipped it back to Amazon. Let this "legendary" company peddle this stuff to some other unsuspecting fool. I paid top dollar for a cold air intake and was sorely disappointed. Will be going with the Rousch kit instead.
What kind of a tune up was he talking about after install?
the Volant cold air is amazing and better than all 3 of these
JLT INTAKE AND PMAS
I got the s&b only cause the roush don't offer the close box for the 17
Ty for this video 💪🏼👍🏻
Anytime! Thanks for watching!!
No Cap …. Dude I Just Bought a Ford
F-150 2014 5.0 Coyote…I’m waiting to save up for the good brand now! I’ll post a review in a few
Months!
I would like listen the even sound !!
What about for my 6.2?
The roush still has the hose that is not smooth???
How much lift is on that truck?
I wish you guys would do stuff for the 3.7 guys
What wheels and tires are on this rig? And what the offset? Also what lift?
It ain't no rig. 18th wheelers are rig
How about volant air intakes
This may be a dumb question but are the filters in a closed housing or does the top of the housing just stay open like that?
The hood acts kinda like a lid for the box
Cone filters don't need an enclosed box, but panels do
What vinyl strip is that?? I want!
mitchell moore it’s on their web page. I have it on my truck. In mate black. 👍🏻
Your missing S&B Cold Air intake it's better then all the rest.
Kenneth Gerard Sapp id day the S&B and Banks Ram Air are neck and neck. Both great choices and can’t go wrong with either! As long as it’s a “closed box” system.
Which option gives your the most hp?
Sounds like the K&N filter but he wouldn't say what the first one was.
Realistically there are other intakes that will give you more horsepower but require a tune after the install as it will throw codes. I think K&N or the roush are your best bets but honestly I wouldn't rely on noticable gains from any CAI. You'll always get A LITTLE bit but it's not gonna throw you any harder into your seat. I have the 6.2L raptor with a roush and it sounds really throaty but I don't really notice a difference in HP
So this was a commercial for Roush! K&N had better hp gain. Makes me wonder who pays you for other videos.
Simply put, the Roush outsells K&N by a rather hefty margin (aka its more popular)- that's why it was in the position it was. And I wouldn't put too much stock in 'manufacture claimed gains'. -Justin
is there a video for the silverado best 3 ?
Chevy is a downright gay
On this motor, you're buying noise with any intake, no gains worth the money
WHERES THE BANKS RAM AIR???!!! 🤷🏻♂️
Unfortunately we don't sell it. -Justin
ACTUAL ram air?
Beaudoin Motorsports google it.

Beaudoin Motorsports yup that’s it. Got it on my truck. There isn’t much info on it out there and especially on CZcams. I’ll include it in a video soon.
