Hey loving the videos! I hear you keep mentioning that you haven’t started avionics yet. I’m an A&P I have been doing avionics for over 10 years. What’s your plan for avionics? I have wiring/circuit breakers/switches/instruments almost anything you need. Would love to work on the Avionics and get this thing flying to Sun N Fun!
So nice to see the industry pull together to help out. 😁 Real nice of you Dan
I have an Aspen EFD/PFD I can donate and install. Not sure what your plans are for the panel.
Been bringing my 6 year old flying now that I have my PPL, and because of your videos, he LOVES to yell "can I get a clear prop?". Tonight when we put him to bed, he wanted his ceiling fan on. He yelled "can I get a clear prop" as I hit the switch ahhaha.

I found your channel a couple weeks ago, and now I can't wait for the next video to drop. Thanks Jimmy!!
Awesome! Thank you!
Love your content, and your sense of humor. Even my wife, who has no interest whatsoever in aviation, enjoys watching. Well done, and good luck in all of your endeavors!
Much appreciated!
Better way is a sting with a vacuum electricians do it all the time to pull wire and find lengths.
@@cortpeterson9992 YUP works all the time.
I just love what you're doing, more the humor you add to your challenges, completing the 310. I can't wait to April to see it finished. Thank you 😎
Loving the videos, Jimmy. You are stirring so many memories for me. From 1977 to 1980, I attended college (Southeastern University) in Lakeland. I worked at Roberts Aviation (Texaco FBO) at the Lakeland airport. Long before the terminal and tower amenities of today. I worked the line, fueled planes, and washed and waxed a lot of them. Publix hangared a Duke and a King Air with us. You mention places in Florida and other airfields that people would fly to Lakeland from. You stir great memories. I loved when things were slow going to the hangar and watching the techs do the repairs and annuals. And of course, we were the host FBO for the annual Sun and Fun. I got fuel some beautiful 'birds.' Like one of Hitler's Tri-motors, the Penthouse Pink Falcon, and so much more. Then there was fueling Rod Stewart's 727 (which was Elvis' before him), Earth Wind and Fires bird, and so many other rocker bands who flew into Lakeland. Sadly I was the last guy to fuel Lynyrd Skynyrd's Convair CV-240. That is a story in itself. Just know that we were serious about fuel records and that thoroughness paid off when the FAA showed up on our doorsteps. Sorry for such a long message. Just love aviation, at least that hangar side of it, and love what you are doing! Keep it up!
Same here. While attending Cal Stats Chico I worked at the Chico FBO. I had just separated from the Air Force as a Avionics Tech ( inertial navigation) and needed a job, so I started fueling washing and waxing aircraft. Fueling fire bombers. Third year I finally got in the Avionics shop, since I was studying EE for my BSEE. Once I graduated I continued in development of Avionics for the Navy in the Harrier program ( technically the Marine Corps) I was in school from 82-87 at Chico
You still remember those years in Lackland ?
I like it too when I 'd my American Language Course in 1988...but the years went by very fast my friend...
I fond of aviation..I like it better than anything.
Thanks for sharing lol
great job Jimmy and crew! Love your prop wash!
Hey Jimmy! loving the content. Do you have your avionics and such picked out yet?
Thanks for the comment. Avionics... ppfffttt, haven't even thought about it yet. I'm just trying to get this thing flying first! lol
Jimmy! I love your videos!
Keep on doing what you do!!! #savethe310
I love aviation!!!!
Going to do my solo soon!
Thank you Neil for your dedication & fortitude.
Keep the videos coming.
Love the Skits… Makes things so much easier to watch. Great Work and you guys are rocking it!❤️
As a person who worked in a mechanics shop for a while, I completely get where you are coming from with the socket. They do weird things. There was one time I dropped a socket in a car and couldn't find it. 5000 miles and several months later the car came back in and I found my socket on the engine cradle frame. I reached my hand up and over to find a bolt and there it was still there. So many questions.
If it's a 10mm socket then don't bother trying to use math or physics, these things simply do not apply here.
I've bought more 10mm sockets than any other size ever!
Hey Jimmy! awesome job so far with the 310, can't wait to see that beauty back in the air! greetings from brazil!
You and me both!
Thank you Neil! - you both show pure passion for the "old" original aviation! 👍
Love your videos and humour Jimmy also the way you cut in other clips, class! Also a love from England! :)
Thanks for the entertainment..needed this to get me thru the boredom of covid quarantine. ✈️🙌🏻
Glad you enjoyed!
Hey Jimmy. You guys are really giving me the motivation to get my project going. My dad and I recently acquired 2 Beech 18's out in Seattle and we're looking forward to get started on restoring them. So thanks for sharing your journey with us. It truly is inspiring to see how everything is coming together with the 310. Cheers!
Would marine cables work?
Isn’t there a massive spar AD on 18’s?
@@thesearcherman6652 We are actually going through all the logs and whatever AD's that has to be done for the Beech 18's so thanks, will be checking out that for sure!
I know nothing about your 310 airplane but I love the way you bring back the life of that plane and I just love it Jimmy. Keep up.
Hey Jimmy! Love your channel. best on you tube. Keep em coming. Live in Jacksonville just north of you.👍

Hey Mike! Love seeing the 310 come together and I saw your cameo on Rebuild Rescue!! Keep it going brother!
I’m here after the first 15 minutes, but I am currently going through school to get my A&P and watching these videos are some of the best in showing what actually happens when working on airplanes, and I love it!
Absolutely love your videos. Finally after years of interest finally taking the plunge and starting my ppl lessons! Love the segway to Rebuild Rescue also!
Rock on!
Jimmy. Any SW Florida recommendations for vinyl graphics/ N number for my Plane. Based Naples. Thanks
Best wishes mate!

Thank you very much!
Thank you to everyone that makes these videos possible!!!
Thanks so much, I'm having so much fun and truly amazed I get to do this!
@@therealjimmysworld I bet it’s a lot of fun what’s it really like getting to fly in the sky? I’ve never been in a Aircraft of any kind! It’s on my Bucket list to ride in a helicopter as well as a airplane!
My heartfelt thanks to ALL who have and are helping to get the beloved 310 back to life. My favorite airplane since 1975!!! Thank you everyone ☺️
My favourite show on CZcams🤙🏽Always looking forward for the next video 👍keep on coming Jimmy.
👍 absolutely love your content, will buy merch when I get my paycheck. Love the innuendos.
Hey jimmy! U said you stick around for 15 mins right?
Yep ;)
Thank you, Neil, for your sacrifice to the cause.
You are one HILARIOUS guy, It is pure joy to watch your channel. Keep up the good work. PS.. Are you on Rumble? Please consider, it would be nice to see you thar.
Jimmy I love your videos! Very entertaining!
Glad you enjoy it!
Hey Jimmy I am new to your channel. You got me hooked when you and your son went with the RV to buy three planes. Being a diesel tractor mechanic what you do got my attention. I must say that you do things that I refer to as Bush mechanics. Sometimes it scares me to see your approach to some repairs, but I keep on watching to how and if it works. Dude I would love to do what you do. Keep it up. Pieter All the way from South Africa.
Hey Jimmy, how do you do the Log entries for all of the updates / fixes you are doing?
It's a huge, several page entry.. sometimes it will be multiple entries depending on what all gets done. But, it's all done at the end with copious amounts of notes taken along the way.
This comment smells like the F.A.A
@@keganperry5758 I dont think Jimmy is an A%P so a lot of this is sketchy to begin with.
@@chadwickalexanderjr1758 As long as his work is looked over by an IA or an A&P is with him and checks his work it's fine.
Informative and hilarious as always! You guys Rock!!!
Love these videos Jimmy!
Must have been the magic 10mm socket that always disappears from every toolbox
1,000,000% RIGHT!!!!! hahahahahaha, so true!
Hey jimmy I hope you are having a great day!
Love the content BTW I love anything to do with flying even though I’ve never been off the ground but hopefully one of these days I’ll get to fly! I’ve got a lot of medical issues so I’ll never get to have a pilots license but that don’t mean you can’t still love aviation!!
Thanks so much! You as well!
Loving the videos and your sterling sense of humor and patience. Can’t wait to see the 310 take to the air!
Love your videos., can't wait to see what going on. Are there wall parts from this project??
Hey Jimmy, my dad has a 1977 Rockwell commander that has been sitting since 1994. I’m pretty sure he’s thinking about selling it, and maybe you’d like to take a look? Great video.
Those are cool. email me the details. jiminize1@yahoo.com
Is that the type of plane Bob Hoover flew in air shows. If so really cool bird.
@@watwsplace8614 it’s a 1977 112b. I’m pretty sure bob hoover flew the twins primarily at air shows, but the 112b is almost the same airframe as a 114, but with a smaller engine.
@@watwsplace8614 Hoover flew the Shrike Aero Commander.
Been a long time since I have had anything to do with airplane’s- and I would rather not - but I really enjoy reminding myself of the frustrations involved in working on them
Keep up the good work Jimmy doing good!
J
I absolutely love this kind of work ...wish I were closer !! anyway love you guys ! keep up the great work !
Love the channel. My dad was an Alaskan Bush pilot, having learned to fly in Haines Alaska in the early 1960’s before I was born. Had a Taylorcraft at the time and flew it to Michigan and back among other things (that plane still exists in the Midwest. I looked up the numbers). He owned many planes over the years, but one I remember distinctly was his last plane, a wrecked Pietenpol. Evidently, if they are more than 50% wrecked, it’s called a ‘new’ home built. So, he had Pietenpol parts all over the place for a while. Rebuilt the wings, the tail, etc etc etc. and got it flying. Used it for years, but then lost his license due to heart problems, and passed away in 2008. Anyway, I tried and failed pilot ground school in high school, and never kept going but aviation is still in my heart for my dad. Who knows, some day might get involved in some ultralight aviation. Anyway, thanks so much for the fun channel! Gotta have a sense of humor to mess with expensive old airplanes (and boats) I think…
Where do you find the insanity to continue to do what you do? I am positive some of us go nuts watching you struggle!
As for your magic socket. It is well documented that a 10mm socket can easily accelerate to faster than light (FTL) speed however the physics behind such a phenomenon have varied widely. In your circumstances I do believe the socket entered a small vortex in the time space continuum causing the interference with your recording equipment reminiscent of a worm hole or other such anomaly. Further investigation required.
Awesome video Jimmy thank you Neal...
Jimmy…I love your videos. The older 310’s are one of my favorite airplanes….probably got hooked on them from watching the Sky King series when I was a young boy. I am a pilot, as my father was, and enjoying almost anything aviation. Buzz G.
Love them jimmy keep up the good work!

Always entertaining. Thank you for the video.

Jimmy your content is great. I've never been on a plane in my life and am terrified of flying but I somehow I ended up on your channel and now I can't stop watching your videos. Love your sense of humour!
Hey Jimmy, that socket must have some wings of its own to end up where it did. Love the show, keep up the great work 👍

Thank you Neil! 🤣 Another great episode!
You are an inspiration to many! Keep up the great work.
Hello Jimmy, greetings from Brazil!!! Your videos are awesome!
Hey Jimmy! Love your videos! I’m a recent subscriber and I think I have already watched most of your videos. My dad flew gyros and I practically grew up at airports. I can almost smell the 100 octane aviation fuel while I’m watching these. And I love the hidden references to the “magic bullet” conspiracy from the Kennedy assassination and the missing 18 minutes from the Watergate tapes in this episode. Classic! Keep up the good work!
I love watching jimmys world
Large respect for you trying to save as many old basket case aircraft, I take my hat off to you.
Thanks so much!

Love watching your videos .....showing your age "Avon Calling" haven't heard that since the 70's. Would love to see you and Kelsey from 74 Gear get together and share a few stories. Keep plugging along Jimmy!
OMG the little office clip. WELLLLL DONE Jimbo
also, i dont know how youve managed to get a bunch of grown men to indulge in your insane behavior but absolute props to you sir. yes pun.
Wow Jimmy, the 310 is glowing white! Amazing detail job.
Another great video! It was good to see some mid week progress on the 310. Also your odd ball sense of humor is perfect and always gets me laughing. It is unfortunate that your that your "Zapruder" hangar camera did not capture the trajectory of the socket. You should have gone with the 8mm. One question though, did you check the grassy knoll?
Can’t wait to see the 310# fly! Keep up the great work 💪🏻👍🏻
You and me both!
Love the Plane and all the great videos you've made. I'm just curious who will be the TEST Pilot once everything is put back together? Amazing teamwork!!
