Make a staircase out of the most slippery blocks, and then clime them. Or use this idea for a multiplayer Monday.
I think the friction only applies to the ground like object v ground not object v player but it was a good thought regardless.

Hehehe, I have an idea. Skydancing on spud guns. It needs to be 4 player so we can have a panel of 3 judges. Everyone needs to build an extremely lightweight design that is either supposed to be destructible and the show counts down until the last block breaks or hits ground, or indestructible (to spuds) and designed to do interesting things under counter-gravitational Kinetic Bombardment.
It's *not* a vehicle challenge, it's an artistic one. You have a limited number of blocks to build something that floats when shot from underneath. If I were competing, the examples I think best fit would be making a cardboard jawbreaker that changes color by every layer peeled back, or a drone design that uses thin center weight to balance the 4 "fans" that catch the spuds from underneath. Points would be for active aesthetics, stability/crazy movements (subjective portions), and length of run, and demerits are counted if the creation fails to float on the spud waves for long enough to be a full show.
It seems like it might be a problem when it comes to lag, so the creations shouldn't use interactive parts as to reduce the calculations needed. You build a solid creation, and put it over a hundred spudguns (or something like that) to let it be floated by merits of it's design and the power of spuds. I wonder if someone could make a Flying Beyblade powered by spuds bouncing off of wedges *(cough,* In red, too. *cough).*
Could you make a bunch of spudguns pointing up and when they shoot you it makes you hover? Or flip it and make a spudgun hovercraft which could be another deadly contraption.

I think that the inconsistent going up and down the stairs(full auto ver) is mostly related to timing, if you jump right as the spuds hit you, you get launched back, but if you jump right between the shots, you only get hit by one layer of spuds, so you can go forwards.

Hi, Scrapman! A great challenge for Multiplayer Monday could be to build a vehicle made of cardboard blocks that climbs the LADDER OF DOOM. The idea is that each competitor builds the vehicle in such a way that it reaches the top of the ladder and touches a button to stop time, something like American Ninja Warrior, but the vehicle can be destroyed. They can also build the car with a bomb inside. (It can be a circuit with several obstacles with sputguns, the one that arrives alive, goes further or reaches the end in less time can be the conditions to earn points)

Do a pyramid next. Also this would make a good escalator if you turned the apud guns vertically. Also would make a boost pad if you lay your stairs flat.
SM Idea: should make a horizontal escalator with spud guns so you can get places faster on foot
i mean, technically all escalators move you both horizontally and vertically at the same time.
I'm pretty sure you were able to climb the rapid fire stairs because you were jumping right after it hit you so you weren't being pushed back.

Seeing how you float for a second there, maybe you can build a hoverboard that is lifted by spudgun floor. It might be too laggy but i think its worth a try.
Details: A hoverboard that triggers spudguns facing up under and around itself, it must be long and wide enough to stay leveled which might be difficult

I built a stair climber but for some reason it only climbs stairs

i tried creating this staircase and after 30 minuted (kinda maybe a lil bit more) i found out a way to go up. Once you get the movement its kinda easy its basically like bhopping in cs:go but with less space to jump on. I noticed that when i bhop in scrap mechanic once i get hit by a spudgun it does basically nothing if im fast enough, it just makes me slower. At some point i could not go anymore higher bc i lost all of my speed (after about 15 steps) so i used the 'cheat' way and i created a macro that just spammed spacebar, i started sideways bhopping and the spud had a hard time even hitting me.
I think you can do this without using a macro and just clicking spacebar really fast but i don't think that would work on a mechanical keyboard...

When the spudguns fire, there is a split second delay in between shots. If you jump in that window, then you almost got up one stair. The other one has to sync as well.
The reason you could climb the full auto stair case is because there is a delay before each spuds hit you, so when you jump in that delay you can move forward.
You can build something like a Dumba, but use blocks without friction (as in a spud-sled). This way, it will avoid everything it sees using recoil.
I want you (Scrapman), to build a Rube-gold-burg machine. If you're not familiar with what that is, it is the same as a domino effect, or chain reaction. It could include: spuds, elevators, wheels and/or marbles, claws: picks up something to bring somewhere else, dominos, sensor track cars, and whatever else you'd like to add.

You need 3 other sections so like another section with boot kicker you just need to shorten the spud guns layer so you can add more

U didn't know how u were able to get up the steps sometimes, well its simple, u had jumped right after the spud gun shot at u, keep in mind that the spud guns have a cool down delay

For exemple the first few steps are just piston pushers that push you off
Then we have spud guns
And then full auto spud guns
And then we have spiny things
That push you off
And if you reach the top you win and the whole thing expplodes
I think the automatic version works sometimes, is because you jump right after the top spudgun hits you. When you jump before, not it hits you mid-air, which pushes you back to a further stair, but if you jump after it hits you, it only hits you when you're close enough to the next step for the kick-back to not push you off the stair.

Scrapman i have an idea maybe you can make the osprey v-22 you can use thrusters to power it but the two blades on the sides turn horizontally in stead of vertically and the landing gears go down but the gears are taller so that you can drive with the blades horizontally and slice bots.

The reason why sometimes you can jump on the Impossible stairs is cause your jumping in the space its not shooting
I know this is unrelated to what u built but could you possibly do a real life car challenge where you have to build a car that is easy and simple to build (like the Nissan Silvia S13 for example) and u have to build it the way the car is in real life (for example, the S13 is RWD and produces around the 100/200hp range and weights probably near the 2 1/2 ton range) and do that as a challenge in multiplayer monday for trailmakers, and scrap mechanic (sry about this comment being big but it might be a good challenge)

the reason why the farm bot didn't follow you is because its programmed to use its gun when the player is higher then the farm bot. so it wont follow you upstairs the only way to make it follow you is go closer to him
