Would have loved to see Thermalright's AXP-100 Full Copper too. I assume it would outperform the AXP90-x53 Full Black, but I am very curious on how much. Although anything Thermalright full copper is virtually impossible to buy, at least here in the US.

Knowing there's a better cooler for it (AN600), I might just op for the 3D instead 🤗 thanks!!! It's great to see both cooler options are available and at an affordable price here in the PH.

Hey man, your channel has been a mine of data that I was looking for, thank you for doing the work! Well worth the sub!
I'm building a high-end Fractal Terra PC, with 7800X3D, Asus B650E-I Mobo and a RTX4090 FE (yet to be delivered).
CPU cooling has been an issue, loads of benchmarks in the net, but most of them are outdated in 2023.
Max clearance I have with the above setup is 66mm, the case would some minor modification of course.
Not knowing what I was doing I settled on a Noctua NH-L9x65. I'm gonna return it and get something else.
    My 3 options are:
    1. AXP-100 full copper with a 15mm Noctua fan swap
    2. NH-L12 Ghost stock
    3. ID-55 with a 25mm Noctua fan swap.
What do you reckon might be the most heat efficient and quietest solution? Emphasis on quietest.
Not gonna do any CPU demanding work on the PC, mostly 1440p high-fps gaming.

I want to build 7950x in cooj mq6, which cooler would work best in your opinion, l12s, axp 120x67 or an600? I have max cooler height of 72mm and I’ll go with the mesh panel to reduce the turbulance noise from close fans

    • @L91
      @L91  Před 10 měsíci

L12S is likely to provide the least turbulence with fan installed underneath, if that's a main priority. All 3 of these coolers are on par with each other in terms of cooling. It's worth noting that the L12S may not be compatible with all AM5 ITX boards, and one of the heatpipes made ever so slight contact with I/O shroud on my own B650E-I motherboard. AXP120-X67 is the cheapest. AN600 has a better stock fan and similar excellent motherboard compatibility as AXP120-X67.

It would be nice to see them compared using the same fan. It's time to rebuild in my SilverStone FTZ01S and the decision for CPU cooling is to reuse the NT06-Pro cooler with a SilverStone Air Slimmer 120 slim fan (instead of the Noctua fan I had on it), or use a 240mm AIO (SilverStone VD 240-Slim or Asetek 670LS). The AIO will fit inside the case above the motherboard if the HDD tabs are bent down; however, it would only have a single 120mm fan slot usable. Both types of coolers would have a slim fan pulling from the bottom and dispersing down draft air flow onto the motherboard, as well as the ability to add a second identical fan on the outside of the case side panel (if one doesn't mind the asthetic) to create push/pull. I'm curious about the performance since it is impossible to find reviews/tests newer than 2015 of the NT06-Pro using a good slim fan under it and two good slim fans. It's also just as difficult to find tests of an AIO using only one fan position. Other competant builders I've talked to only speculate that the 240mm liquid cooler with one 120mm fan would be the better performer than that large air cooler using the same one 120mm fan.

@JSpaceCraft you could add 25mm to either of these coolers, doesn't improve performance, only slightly better noise profile. At that point, the cooler would be 47mm tall, but would get absolutely obliterated by AXP90-X47 FC for thermals

I don't have experience with laptop CPUs, sadly 😔

That -20 on all cores is probably not stable. One should test each core separately for hours on end with many different instruction sets. Some sissy french guy has this stress test software called OCCD or something, and he moronically made it a subscription only thingy with no perpetual license I think. Give him the money for the month and finish all your core tests within that month and cancel the subscription.

Surprised that the axp90-x53 did so much better than the is-55!

AXP90-X53 Full Black in all copper cooler and not to be mistaken with X53 Black. The copper AXP90 coolers perform unbelievably well for their size on Zen4 and LGA1700.

Telling people to set negative offset on curve optimizer is terrible idea. Not every CPU can do that , mine cant even handle negative 5. You just made random people with bad luck crash their PCs.

I apologise, I'll make sure to highlight disclaimers better in future. I'd also point out that one shouldn't take everything you see/hear on Internet as gospel as rule of thumb
