It seems like the longer u play a game, the higher your expectations grow. Personally, I've only played RL for a couple of months and this seems cool.
TBH, I was not expecting the negativity for a new season being released and although from your standpoint I can understand it.. it just wasn't what I expected when I clicked on your vid.

If i'm allowed to hand any credit to psyonix its that the trailers still have a decent level of quality to them (remember that the advertising and marketing team was stripped down to 1-2 people each) and most of the items still look pretty cool. the only thing i don't like about multiple similar items is when they're released in seperate seasons/methods of obtaining (F2P S5 had warp wave where you could get all colours but a matching boost was the wave rave in S4 tourney rewards so you were unlikely going to get more than a few paints)

it would be cool if they did like a season where every 2 weeks they added a new special gamemode thats not just custom match settings, and its sad to see how epic games treats rocket league :(. Considering they bought it they should keep in mind the community and what they actually want, and not for fortnites benefit.
