Hingis backhand down-the-line was one of the best ever. Wish this included her infamous racket throw.
Yes her backhand was so compact such a joy to watch especially 96-2000..one of the best double-handed backhands ever, along with Nalbandian's.. such a model to learn from..I also like when she would occasionally pull amazing one-handed top spin backhand!
@@dinomijatovic3921 funny you should mention Hingis one- handed backhands because I’ll never forget it. On the dead she pulled off a spectacular one against Lisa Raymond in Zurich 1997.

The days when Hingis' forehand had some pop on it. She should have built on this so it would later not become a liability in her game.
Hingis was a nightmare opponent for Sanchez Vicario and most of the top players from the early to mid 90s except Steffi Graf
I know the power players of the new millennium would have overtaken her eventually, but I would have projected Martina to have won 2-3 more slams in the early 2000s, the French Open debacle probably really got to her. too bad
