Michael, you've single-handedly turned me onto so many greats. Over the past year, I've added 7 new books to my library, all of which I treasure. Your description of Jimmy sounds a little like my impression of you. You certainly have those qualities, apart from your magic, that are friendly, affable, and engaging. You're obviously NOT some unknown kid from London anymore. If you'll pardon me, I have another book to order. 😉

Hi Michael. I’m new to your channel and found this video quite by accident as I was studying more of the great Slydini’s performances. A beautiful tribute. The first REAL Magic I ever saw was his performance on the Dick Cavett show and I was completely taken. I was about sixteen at the time, and started to learn his magic, studying his book “Slydini Encores,” recommended to me by a member of Boston’s IBM Ring 122 at the time. Later I picked up The Magic of Slydini and dove into that to the degree to which I could grasp it. I had no idea then that one could potentially become a student of this incredible man, but no one ever provided that guidance. It wasn’t until recently that I found Aaron Fisher (and his Conjurer Community); never had an actual coach/teacher until this came along. With his team’s encouragement I dove back into this material, picking up more texts and “As I Recall” in which (as I’m sure you know, Jim Cellini does a beautiful job teaching some of the master’s iconic material. I’ve been at it now for a couple of years and have actually performed Coins Through Table and Sponge Ball routine with some very good success which thrills me to no end. I’m fortunate too that there are a few members of Conjurer Community who were also students of Slydini and they’ve been incredibly supportive in my pursuit. As a part-time performer, I’m mostly an avid hobbyist.
So glad I found you here. I enjoy your magic immensely and hope someday we might connect. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to your friends and mentors. Very inspiring.

Thank you for continuing these videos! I also need to thank you for being the final trigger for me to learn card magic. I watched many shows of many magicians but it was your performances that gave me the last "Yep, I want to do it like him" that made me start buying a deck of cards and learning things. You are so elegant, your sleight of hand is impeccable, the stories you tell drags you away from whatever the card trick is, being put in a state of pure "wow" after your final moves. I watched all your vids, I know you looked/look up to all your heroes in magic and now its you being looked up to. Thank you, Mr Vincent. Best greetings from Germany! Looking forward to anything you will post!

Eileen McFalls is a friend and I have read the book. I recall Michael Vincent being mentioned a few times in the book attempting to master a particular card trick. Her book brought back a lot of Nostalgia because street performers in New York City during that time period were an intricate part New York Cit's rhythm. She opened a door to a whole new world for me because I knew virtually nothing about magic as a great art form. No Ordinary Magic by Eilleen is about Love, Freedom and the Power to Create your life. And now I know about you Michael Vincent. I will be watching all your videos to learn more about magic.

@@MichaelVincentMagic Eileen directed me to this video. I am glad she did. I too was moved to tears. I am grateful she understood the significance of Jim and Celini passing down the art form of magic. You mastered what they taught you. This is amazing because her book appeals largely to a specific audience and you are a doorway to that audience. The history of two modern day magicians is well documented in No Ordinary Magic. However, those of us who love to love will be pleased that the story is told through the innocence of a young woman in love.

Sage Chioma I really feel how much Eileen loved Jim. We all did, he had charisma so magical you couldn’t help but fall in love with him. Sage, trust me when I say this, my world is so empty now because all my friends have died. The friends I knew have all passed on. I had to reinvent myself to continue he in this life. I am so grateful to Eileen because her book brought back memories from a magical period in my life. Thank you for sharing. X

My best friend in magic at the time - Charles Greene III - and I slept in the Grand Ballroom as we missed the last bus back to New Jersey! It was a who's who lineup with Harry Lorayne, Johnny Thompson, a younger David Roth and Darwin Ortiz :) , Doug Henning was also there. Magical!!

      Hi Peter,
A few weeks back Michael mentioned that after seeing an effect one of his mentors showed him he was not shown how it was done.
The same thing happened to me at a Dallas magic club meeting many years ago. I watched you perform a card effect and asked how it was done. You were polite but firm in your response to me. You looked at me and said, "It's not mine to give away".
You told me where you had found the effect and who the originator was. The unspoken message was to put the work in on my own. I never forgot that.
Thank you. You were right. And that, in the words of Robert Frost, "has made all the difference".
