- I'm going to be an AUNTY!!! the most exciting update in this video is that my sister (Erin) is having a baby. She and my family are beyond excited. What a legend to decide to do it all by herself! She is such an inspiration for all single women who want to have kids but don't want to wait for a man!!

My biggest tip for baby gear: buy a second hand pram! They lose so much value very quickly, and most people look after their pram really well.
All the best with going back! I recently went back and this time round has been much better. I’m so much more aware of my boundaries, taking care of myself, not trying to impress anyone but still doing a good job! Hope the same happens for you too! X
Yay your back!!
Thanks for the update!
Great to see you back and hear an update. Hope your cat issues are sorted soon.
Hey girl! I WAS wondering if you were coming back! Glad you're back😊
Hi Angie. It's great to see a new video of yours. I hope you've been well. Wonderful news about your sister. Take care.
Good Luck With The Changes ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
love your videos!! so glad your back x
Adelaide Hills: Golding Wines and Longview are beautiful
McLaren Vale: Down The Rabbit Hole is one of my faves!! D'arenberg, Chalk Hill, Fox Creek, Ekhidna and Mollymooker Wines are my suggestions x
I didn’t know you followed me! I watch you all the time 😊 Thank you for the suggestions!
Great update! hope the cat issue is sorted soon, I had a cat that had to have regular injections to calm her down. So excited for you sister, it. is so fantastic that she has the option of a donor. It's not easy if you don't meet the right man but she doesn't have to miss out on being a Mum. Good on her!!
So glad to see you back , missed your updates, grocery hauls ,so happy for your sister's baby news, you could maybe buy her the baby car seat for the car, she will need that. Thanks for sharing.👍💜
Great to see you again, good luck with the cat situation. I have two cats as well :) I’m the same as you with my tacos (hard shell preferred) and I also like coriander with them
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs 👋 🫂
Hi Angie! Great to see you back! I currently have a 6 month old - my tips are a Baby capsule instead of a car seat, so easy to pull out of the car and pop straight into the pram. I have 2 bassinets 1 next to my bed another in our living room. Bonds onesies are a must. A great foam playmat for tummy time. All the best to your Sister x
I've just taken the year off from teaching. I'm planning to go back as casual next year. Totally understand the uncertainty and nerves around going back full time. Hope it's a positive experience for you!! 🥰
Welcome back Angie, Goodluck with the house sale.
Congratulations to your sister, I suggest making sure the pram fits in the boot of car, have baby seat installed a couple of months before due date & for a mum who’s on their own (although I know you & family will be supporting her) a breast pump for if she’s struggle to feed or getting baby latch or it she just needs your sister needs a sleep & someone else can feed bubs. Take teaching one term at a time. Look forward to next update.
Same issue in our house some like soft shell tacos others like the hard shell tacos. You can get a box with a mixture of both in it :)
Baby bonds onesies with zippers are a Must. Pacifier - a few different brands because each baby is different - some take to certain brands. Baby rocker, basinet for baths.
Was actually thinking about you and came to check if I’ve missed an upload a few times! Pleasssseeeee make a video about your sisters ivf journey!!! I’m looking to do it alone by the age of 30 if I’m still single lol!
Hi Angie, my cat has an allergy and I have to give him medication from time to time as well and I hide a pill 💊 in a meat mince (I roll a little piece and hide it inside) and my cat eats it very well. I buy a cat mince in pet section in Coles. Sometimes he eats only mince though and I have to hide that pill in another piece of meat, but overall this is a great solution and cat just thinks that he has a treat 😅
I’m from Adelaide, can suggest Mollydooker wines, Chalk Hill/ Never Never Gin and Beresford Estate in McLaren Vale. In the hills Lot 100 is popular and Cobb Hill has beautiful surrounds!
Adelaide here too - agree with the above, and would add for ADELAIDE HILLS: Bird in Hand, Golding, Barristers Block, The Lane, Shaw & Smith and for McLAREN VALE: add Ekhidna, Down the Rabbit Hole, Wirra Wirra, Alpha Box & Dice. And definitely don't miss Never Never Gin/Chalk Hill Wines - co-located in a stunning location :)
My puppy is on prozac too! Luckily, she eats it within a slice of dog roll. My cat had a similar reaction walking outside on a lead, it was a spider web. Try feliway too in the house. Is there a cat that comes in the yard perhaps? Hope they can sort it out. Poor cats. That spider Web cat also had anxiety and would pee outside the litter tray whilst giving me a significant look I'd displeased her! She also over groomed her tail until it was bald. She was a Bengal. Gorgeous but a bit loony! Welcome back.
First time mum things:
-pram (test it out at baby bunting, but get from marketplace). Make sure she can assemble and disassemble it to out it in a car. Make sure it fits in the car
- car seat (see if it fits in all the cars needed)
- clothes - not too many. You wash often. Zippy are the best
- the white towel cloths from Kmart. I think about $20 for 12.
- change table and mar (marketplace!)
- co sleeper bassinet (marketplace) and sheets
- floor play mat
And then 1000 snacks that can be eaten one handed when baby is born
Oh also: baby bunting price beat online prices. Just ask them!
Adelaide hills wine go to Hahndorf you have Sidewood and The Lane if your after a nice vibe without travelling to far out of the city.
McLaren Vale
Down the rabbit whole (you do a wine tasting on a bus) its a vibe
Also the cube is a must.
Are those pills a solid tablet or are they a powder encased in one of those capsules that are two pieces? My cats can't take medications that big, so I use one of those plastic syringes, dump the power out of the capsule and add in enough water to dilute it. Check with your vet to see if that's an option, but that what we do with our cats' gabapentin.
So happy to see you again Angie. Take care with your finger cat bites can be nasty xx
You can buy hard and soft taco kit in the one.
Regarding the cats... HIGHLY recommend when giving the tablet to wrap her up in a towel (I know, that in itself can be hard) but wrap her up so her legs can't move then do the side of the mouth squeeze and you can use a syringe to quickly place the tablet in her mouth if you are scared for your finger (wet the tablet slightly so there is tack and pick up with the syringe (draw in air for a bit of suction). And try and be as quick as possible. (Blowing on their nose slightly can also make them open their mouth) Obviously be careful with all this.
This is of course if it can be the whole tablet.
Alternatively, my difficult one would have. no issue when I placed the tablet covered in wet treats (not food, the treats like the Dine ones) he would lick it up not realising.
Mixing it in with food was always the harder way to do it because they can smell it is bitter and will walk away. Mine have always done that even when the tablet is placed in whole or half in the food and then they refuse to have it anymore.
Towel trick always works like charm.
Every cat is different but thought id just comment with some things that have worked for us :)
Was also going to say that she may have smelt another cat in your backyard and with her anxiety it has set her off. You might already know about him but Jackson Galaxy is very good for any pet problems. He has CZcams videos that could possibly help. His introduction method saved me with my cats when mine were fighting after one came back from a day dental visit. (and they were the bestest of friends too... the smallest things can really set them off huh!)
Miss seeing your video
You’d be such a nice teacher. My dad was a teacher and he always said he loved teaching but it was all the extra crap they had to deal with that he hated. I reckon seeing a psychologist would help heaps with tools to actually deal with all the extra sh*t.
100%!! Since becoming a teacher I swear I've become more neurotic and anxious. Psychologists are sooo important.
This is insane to me, just found out my sister in law is doing the same and similar age.
Along side the fact, as a teacher I had made a similar career choice to CRT instead. . . Weird 😅
I hope the best for snickers and your sister
Just for another perspective... If you chose to have kids you will grow into your house. Also remember your income can/most likely with grow as you continue your professional. Lastly I would hold off on making a big decision if you can until you are back at work or in a good headspace.... And after all that advice do whatever you want 😅
Agree
Haven't seen the whole video yet but if you have to leave the house can you shut one cat in the laundry?
We can and I have had to do that to go to work but I really don’t want to do that everyday, otherwise they are continuously separated.
Im confused, why did you buy a big house if you didn't need it? And wouldn't you get more for it if you waited longer? Or are the repayments too high?
At the time we were emotional buyers and we thought we needed the space. In actual fact we didn't. We also didn't bring any family members with us to inspect the property, if we had they would have told us it was too big and far too much for us to maintain.
