Thanks. I’m about to do this along with some other updates. The gf started complaining that my ac is garbage yesterday. I’m like feels fine for a 50 year old car lol.

Hey, be nice to that Youngmobile. The 4.25" stroke won't last at 6200rpm.

Clockwise or counter clockwise to reduce pressure?

Awesome trying to get mine dialed in ,been told to replace condensor to parellel flow any need for that if my origanal is still good

The old condenser is undersize and will overheat at a stoplight in 100F+ weather. I know, I've done it. A modern condenser is a good option, but you will have to create new hoses and will need replaced anytime a compressor blows up (debris hard to fully remove).
An alternative is to put a pusher fan in front of the original condenser. You know every modern car runs an A/C fan for just this reason.
Or, you can throw the kitchen sink at it and do both (modern condenser + pusher fan).

Setting up to make that adjustment, where was your Air Compressor output set /lbs. ? Great explanation, thank you !

My compressor is regulated at 90 psi, but I controlled cfm and pressure at the POA by gently pressing the air gun trigger. You don't need excessive pressure or flow for this adjustment.

Yes sir. You are correct. Measured in PSI, not in*Hg.
