I feel like if you actually listened to the lyrics and tried to analyze it instead of talking over it, it would be much more interesting video than just you talking about the title of the song.
A therapist that listens and headbangs to slipknot is my kind of therapist đ
I have something to add: Slipknot traditionally swaps masks with new ones for every album. In this case, the people who are "self-harming" in the video are their "old" themselves with the old masks, while the ones actually playing the song are the "present" themselves with a new style for the new album. Btw fire reaction, love from Italy! <3
She listened ... to understand. And in the end .. felt it. Felt what we feel.
She was really feeling it until Sid ate himself
Your reaction was fantastic. It is so relieving to occasionally watch someone actually listen to the lyrics and try and get the meaning behind them, whether it's the artists intended meaning or one you pull from them for yourself. More importantly, my faith in humanity refuses to die, as much as I'd like it to, because of the minority of people in the world like yourself you actually give a damn about other people. If only there were a lot more like you. Thank you for this.
Your missing a crucial piece of information, this video was the first one after Paul grey their founding bassist overdosed
The song's music video was directed by Slipknot drummer Shawn Crahan and features the destruction of band members in various ways. Chris Fehn, for instance, is pecked to death by ravens, a fate he requested for himself as the percussionist suffers from a fear of birds. Sid Wilson, meanwhile, eats his arm and fingers in the clip, destroying the things most important for the DJ's role in the band.
We're not all demons.
You should definitely watch the making of this music video. You'll definitely see some more interesting things about each member of the band on a psychological level.
This human learned an angle of a feeling and how it's shown. Silently.. or loudly. Her reaction makes me happy...
I love the symbolism of âkilling offâ past versions of yourself with this video. Kinda sums up where I was at psychologically for much of 2023 getting through attachment trauma and a couple nasty breakups. This was also the first song I learned on guitar so it has a special place in my heart
Your takes on the songs by Slipknot is so darn positive. I wish I could see you react to some of my favorites that simply can't be given a good spin.
As a recent divorcee I lean on music and can find 736 songs for my 736 feelings I have each day. Smiling depression is a real thing as you said, âas weâre too afraid to let anyone see it because it makes us look badâ hits deep
Love that you get into it. how we feel and metal is actually a medicine. Metal for me is yoga. keeps me calm.
That is the best explanation of the song I've ever heard, and the explanation I've been looking for. I've love the song since it came out and it helped calm my war demons. But hearing you talk about it put it into light. Thank you.
Best reaction ever to a slipknot video. Didnât know if she should headbang or be scared. Then the chorus got her đđđđ
I just found your channel and i love this! I use music to help express my thoughts and feelings. Because music usually uses metaphors, it helps me explain how how i feel, because using metaphors is easier than being practical, IMO. Because feelings are usually not cut and dry, sometimes they're more complex than that and music and art in general helps explain it. Especially, with artists like Slipknot, who are very creative and visual in how they write their lyrics.
I don't think I've ever seen someone get into the music so much as you, and it is magnificent!
Man I loved this one! Love how you figure out for me whybi love these songs.
