Why do you offer two different products? Why isn't there a single 8-bit device?

Hi there, thanks for your question. Microchip offers both PIC and AVR 8-bit microcontrollers because each line has distinct advantages that cater to different application needs and design preferences. PIC microcontrollers are known for their robust peripheral integration and ease of use, particularly in industrial and automotive applications. AVR microcontrollers, on the other hand, are favored for their efficient code execution and performance in consumer electronics and hobbyist projects. Hope this helps!
