Australia here, during the Covid pandemic. share the love!
growing up a little white boy from a small town in Wisconsin I used to watch Soul Train every Saturday at 1 p.m. growing up that's when I first discovered the Commodores and I knew when I grow up I want to be a black musician and play in a funk band!!!!!
Slick Mic -- SO you were little white boy & you watched Soul Train on 📺 If God wanted you to be black he would had created you black . Why you couldn't be a white musician that played in a funk band or any other type of band music you wanted to play in. To me music has no color & neither does a soul take care 🎤🎶🎷🎵🎹🎼🎸🎺April 17,2020
Did you end up a black musician
Nice story Slick Mic. Thanks for sharing
@@sheiladavis6523 Damn white privilege strikes again!

Lionel is not only a great singer, he's even a BETTER person. VERY special dude that has touched so many lives on this earth with his personality and music 😉
Saying that somebody has touched many people is not a good thing these days. Just saying...
He is also a great songwriter too.
@@WWAHP No doubt Christian. He's an INCREDIBLY gifted songwriter. Thanks for adding the comment 😉
Yes and he's also cheated on every wife and girlfriend he's ever had, nice bloke though.

I remember in my teenage age this masterpiece was among my late Dad’s favorites. RIP Dad I will make you proud.
I"m sorry about your father and glad he still brings you good memories.
@@RiDankulous Thanks Joe
You will never make him proud. Hes probably so ashamed tbh.
@@joeb1den114 Your opinion don’t count, just want to let you know that, and I’m not giving you my time to reply to any jargons that pop up again from you. Akapitch.
Nothing like the original; I'd temporarily forgotten this song til I heard it in the film Baby Driver, where it was sung by Sky Ferreira- and it was a nice, laidback rendition of a nice, laidback song. The original is still the best.
My ,my, my do I ever remember when you did this song 🎵 I lived in myrtle beach sc working with Alabama band as a can,can girl. Still waiting for another invite lionel. Please ❤️ 🙏
I just love this music
I was a fresman in 78 still lesson to the commedore's 😉👍🤠

Such a masterpiece. It sounds so easy, but both composition and performance are the topmost art.

Your mom had a great voice before I plunged into her tonsils. Loved how dirty she would be, always hungry to swallow. You sound just like her..

I love this group
