A lot of us had just heard that one of our classmates had been shot and killed by his father. We were all very sad. And we were at the after prom, they played this song, and the healing began. Some of us cried, a lot of us cried, but we began to feel better thanks to this song. I love this song, and I play it because I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me. I know! When I was just 13 yrs old, HBO was very new... and I was glued to the TV to watch this HBO Special Presentation, The Commodores Live From Las Vegas. I put my small "Realistic" brand cassette recorder next to the speaker and recorded most of the songs. I wore that tape out listening to Jesus Is Love.
