Absolute perfection! George in his prime. This song is a bit of an anomaly in the sense that it has proven its longevity despite its relatively simple 4 chord progression. It must be the magical combination of melody and harmony. Regardless, it will sound great 50 years from now just like it sounds great 40 years after its run on the charts. It is up there with other pop classics by the likes of the Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, etc. Thank you George for leaving behind such a rich legacy of timeless music.

He fought back against the music industry that was robbing singers and musicians and won. That was history making. His personal life had a few ups and downs, but he perservered. I will never forget where i was when i heard the news of his death. I was on Christmas holiday with my children in Washington DC. Having a glass of wine while the children were laughing and playing.
