    With the exception of the bracelet, this kind of design is basically as good as it gets for me. Simple, legible, attractive.

    I've been using this as my daily wear for about five months. The bracelet is amazing. It has a beautiful taper, and it conforms to your wrist perfectly. My only complaint with it is the seat belt clasp. The clasp works great, however, it does have a tendency to get caught on things and pop open. It doesn't happen often enough to make me never want to use it, but I did get a beautiful brown leather strap for it, and that's what I keep it on for the majority of the time. My wrist is slightly under 7" and I think it fits beautifully. I recommend this watch whole-heartedly. Great review!

    What makes the blue dial variant really shine is the polished stainless steel hands. I had the black 41 mm variant and the white painted hands made the watch appear quite dull, at least to me. This blue one with the applied indices is really great.

    Hi Agree the Longines Spirit 40mm is a good new addition to their range. Very IWC inspired but with a very nice dial and Cosc silicon hair spring ETA 888.4 which should improve magnetic resistance. Finish is higher than normal aiming at IWC at 1/3 rd price.

    Add me to the list of people who almost bought this watch on bracelet, with the applied markers in blue sunburst, which make this the one to go for. In person the glass seems quite reflective and the clasp does not have a lot of sizing options. Side by side the Longines Spirit 40mm felt a lot more premium and special. Came away confused and didn't get either on the day, and still thinking about it.

    Indeed a very nice watch with an innovating strap clasp. Very legible dial, the watch it self is at a very versatile size making it suitable for a wide range of wrist sizes. It does look like an IWC Portuguese case. The crown, although large, I would prefer an onion type, similar to IWC big pilot or the Zenith. In my eyes looks more like a field watch rather that pilot. Still, a very nice watch and past decade + Oris has come a long way. I see great models at affordable prices. I agree with the bracelet, I always opt for bracelets and get a few straps to match but the watch, unless strictly dress, the bracelet is a must. Great review Bob, keep it up and looking forward to the next, enjoy watches in good health:)

    • @benjamin8899
      @benjamin8899 Před 3 lety

      I've owned both. The Seamaster has much better movement, case finishing, dial/hand/indices finishing, is more versatile and wears better. Both have great bracelets but the Seamaster wins with the better clasp.
      The Seamster also more than 2x the price of the Aquis. The Aquis is great for what you can get it for used, but it's a step below the Seamster in every dimension.
