I am not sure I have ever posted a comment on youtube but I write this while tears stream down my face. I am currently deep cleaning my apartment bc it feels like the only thing in my life i can control. I have been in such a heavy transition period since I had to close my creative venue + plan for my last few months living in these southern mountains. I am not sure what hit me,..maybe it was the sense of community, joy & connection bumpin' thru the screen but the tears started flowing & I just simply had to get my ass up in move!! I haven't danced in so long, THANK YOU BLACK HOUSE RADIO!

As the kids say, I'm low-key in love with this channel.
House music is about the people, not stadium light shows. This feels like partying up in someone's grandma's house while she's gone for the weekend. The mixes aren't always perfect, but the people are dancing and smiling, not trying to look cool while staring at the DJ, and the tunes are organic and soulful. Nobody can sit when Loleatta Holloway tells you to Stand Up, you just do it!
