  • Teen Diaries reporter Nydja Hood talks to Temple University students about their opinions on the Mike Brown tragedy.
The shooting death of Michael Brown occurred on August 9, 2014, in Ferguson, Missouri, United States. Brown was an unarmed, 18-year-old, African-American male, killed after being shot multiple times by Darren Wilson, a police officer with the Ferguson Police Department. The incident sparked protests and acts of vandalism in the St. Louis suburb, as well as national calls for an investigation. The day after the shooting, local and national leadership planned a vigil and other responses. On the evening of August 10, police tried to break up the crowd, and some protesters responded violently, looting various stores in the neighborhood, including a QuikTrip. The story became widely reported in the United States, drawing comparisons to the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin in 2012.

Interesting but the officer was justified. There won't be an indictment. Stay positive, stay informed.

Do you people really believe this crap? He was a bad person who put himself in a bad situation that could have ended differently but didnt. Give me hard evidence he was shot for being black. That's rediculous
