OH GOD the singing roses. I was TERRIFIED of the singing roses as a child. I eventually grew out of it, but I think seeing toothy mouths and no other discernible facial features on something that emphatically should not have a toothy mouth was a big shock to my young, impressionable mind. Even now, watching the animation again all these years later, I'm still a tad creeped out by them, though the song is quite nice. Okay, thus endeth my embarrassing personal anecdote of the day. XD

Part of the reason is because multimedia was still new at the time and they didn't have a recording studio, so they just did everything in a small office for the voices. At least, that's what Mark Schlichting said on Wanderful's site (take a look at it, you might find it really interesting).
Wow! It'd also explain why Mark Schlicting voiced Grandma and his son Aaron voiced Little Critter.

Want to know what my reaction was to that? I say, "Or Little Critter if he saw a magic lamp, he had one wish after he rubbed it and made a genie appear. Then if the genie said, 'I am here to grant you one wish for one time', Little Critter said, 'If I had 1 wish, I would wish for as many wishes as I like'. Then he would wish his sand castle was back to the way it was and not ever have to have it wash away".

I noticed in that "Arthur's Teacher Trouble" preview, Mr. Ratburn has a noticeably different voice actor than he did in the actual game. Here he sounds like he's voiced by the guy that voiced Principal Haney in the game.
This isn't the game where you can make the sandcastles? You could make like spoon cut outs in the sand and put flags on it and then the waves could wash it away
It was getting late on Page 10 on the Book, Everyone has gone home to their bed.
If Little Critter had a genie from a magic lamp, then just like in Between the Lions, from the "Cliff Hanger" segment in that episode which was "Cliff Hanger and the Soiled Oil Lamp", the genie on Little Critter was meant to grant Little Critter 1 wish, then Little Critter could've wished for as many wishes as he wanted. But if he wished that his washed away sand castle was back to "undemolished", this is what really would've happened.
Little Critter: (to the genie) Oh boy! Okay. This is my wish.
GET-ME-OFF-THIS-CLIFF!
Jacob (narrator): Is it time for Little Critter to be rejoiced at last? Is he finally poised to get off this cliff?
Genie: As you Little Critter wished about your sand castle, you get your own personal copy of "Off This Cliff" by Boyd Hoyle.
Little Critter: But I don't want this book! I WANT YOU TO GET ME OFF THIS CLIFF!
Genie: Sorry. You only got one wish. And now, you've used it to get the book.
