At long last, this playthrough has finally began uploading. Here we are with the first three pages of what I consider to be the true last Living Books game ever made (Be quiet, Picky Eater didn't count!). It's got a lot more minigames than any of the other games in the series, and some of them are in pretty unusual spots.
Arthur's Computer Adventure is (C) 1998 Living Books/Wanderful Storybooks and (C) 1997 Marc Brown. - Hry
After twenty or so years, nostalgia hits me like a tidal wave. Before Playstation, I was all over this and Math Blaster.
XD agreed
Yup!
It was this Centipede the remake, carnosaur and the magic school bus
Gosh I remember this. This was the first computer game I ever played.
Kitty Kat ?
This game was part of my childhood, its one of the reasons I know English (I am Mexican).
Seriously, God bless the man who made this, and all those who worked doing it.
“Help! Rescue me!” Needs to be my new ringtone
This game is my childhood.
I used to engage my late grandfather in a game of Deep Dark Sea. It was one of the choices for activities for this game I played when I was a preteen. Arthur is a lean, mean dancing machine. I donated this one to charity this year in the summer.
Andrea Patane I used to love clicking the lamp that has an accent. Watching him get angry was hilarious as a kid.
@@Swonke Really? I never knew that.
@@Swonke I know right I like that part too
I love ❤️ it too. I want to go back in time and play it one last time
My parents really need to learn that just because I don't use something anymore doesn't mean I don't want it anymore.
What did they get rid of this game?
I don't know how old you are, but if you are a kid now, you can download and play these for free now :-)
DKingd88 wait, where can you download these at?
@@yazawanico5595 i have no idea
@@DKingd88 How and where can you download this?
"who took the cookies from the cookie jar?"
"Not me! I've been framed!"
It's been years and I am just NOW getting it...
Whion Did Binky and Francine said that? Their voices sound almost like them from the TV show.
The two picture frame folks did. It might've been different folks.
16 years later I finally get it.
14:00 HELP RESCUE ME lol oh the memories.
HAHA! I remember that!!
@Mister Lyosea I still quote that dude up to this day 😂 so iconic
I came here for the nostalgia of exactly that 😂😂
@@AtomicWhiskers ME TOO!! Nobody ever gets it lmao
Use your ladder to rescue firefighter that you dropped.
"Deep Dark Sea: it's like Skyrim but with water." - IGN
OMF.. Childhood.
I loved the lamp though, I always used to touch him, though he drove away.. ;-;
And if you hit the esc button during his animation he'd respawn
I loved clicking on that lamp!
This game was so addicting when I was a kid. I miss it.
My childhood right here!! I first played Arthur's Computer Adventures when I was 5 or 6. It's like going down Memory Lane watching this! Thanks so much for uploading this.
S A I D M O M.
Gracie that’s what she said
Gracie I was looking for that 🤣
Lol peanut butter gamer
I used to play this game dozens of times a long time ago on my desktop computer back when we had it. That was over 10 years ago.
Years later, I still don't know why the lamp hated it when I clicked it.
Holy Shit, some of these phrases are coming back to me.
I remember that every page had a paper airplane you could find.
^Teacher Trouble.
Renne165 Very good, that was the one I remembered, it was also the only one our school had.
Man, this used to be a game installed onto the public library. Used to hog the computer all day while my parents went looking for books

I remember this game!
Same! Thankfully we had a small library so I didn't have to fight with a bunch of other kids
Me too! We had a small library and I used to play all the time :(
I would play Putt Putt I had the cd at home......I gave it away years ago though mostly cause I didn't have a computer that could read the discs anymore
I remember playing this when I was two years old, and everything I clicked on seemed to make perfect sense.
Wow....nostalgia
"Hey arther good luck trying to play your game with these BUNNY SHOES in the way"
I always crack up when you click on the lamp! It's so funny!
i miss the good ol days playing this
So do I. I love this game.
THE HELICOPTER GAME WAS SO MUCH FUN!!!! AHHH!
Thanks for the playthrough man!
I’ve always loved making the lamp mad by clicking on him over and over again.
oh my gosh. I didn't realize I remembered the sounds of this until I heard it again .
I spent so many hours on this game as a child. Good times!
I miss this game! I remember those 2 nice being crazy and all other things I used to click on. I wanna go back to playing old computer games, but I have to focus on my studies. Two things I have to say. One is something that clearly reminds me of, and the second I noticed during the helicopter sequence and so on:
Arthur getting scared by a shark on his computer screen reminds me so much of little Moana look-alike from the Wreck-it Ralph sequel who also got scared when the screen of her tablet turned off suddenly itself after the bunny exploded from eating so much pancakes.
During the helicopter sequence, Arthur’s father froze (except Arthur and D.W.) and held his blink until the activity game is over. I used to put so many firefighters of them saying “Help! Rescue me!” all at the same time! Too funny! 😂😂
Mice 1: There she blows
Mice 2: Wipe your nose
Mrs. Read: DW what did I say about that
DW: The table cloth is not a handkerchief
DW: Sorry Mom
LOL!!!!
+Rea Fernandez My favorite line!

I would crack up so hard for so long. That lamp was hilarious xD
8:35 I remember pissing off that lamp so much when I was 6.
I enjoyed doing that.
FINALLY!!! an LP for this game. I love you guys so much. And I miss this game so much.
I ALWAYS loved annoying that grouchy old lamp by clicking on him, up to the point where he just gets up & leaves!
My grandmother used to let me play with Living Books when I was little. I learned to read thanks to them. Stellaluna is my favorite.
I used to know the whole dance he does at the beginning. I would literally just stay on the home screen and dance with him.
He was incredibly hilarious!
I loved it when he got so angry that he burned at the top XD And when he got so angry that he ran away.
This gives me memories. I played this so many times that the CD wore out.
Christopher Johann I remembered playing that game until the game malfunctioned. I felt very sad!
This is one of my favorite computer games I ever played during my childhood. I first became aware of its existence when I saw that it could be played on those old elementary school Mac computers. Eventually I ended up getting it as either a birthday or Christmas gift.
This was my favorite computer game 😍
I love the creativity of this game. :)
THIS GAME IS FOREVER FANTASTIC, CLASSIC, FUN, AND MEMORY-GIVING!!! I WILL NEVER STOP PLAYING THIS GAME!!!
Oh god, nostalgia incoming.
Oh my god this is funnier than I remembered. Definitely playing this either today or tomorrow.
I USED TO PLAY THIS GAME ALL THE TIME!!!! XD XD XD XD XD XD
Oh good times
Oh my god. The intro gave me chills down my spine!! Memories came flooding back of all the countless times I would boot this up knowing it was time for fun and some good laughs. I also remember sitting through that long speech of how to operate the menu JUST to see Arthur do that funny dance. I still have this game to this day. Along with all my other beloved childhood pc games.
@19:15 One less cup to wash! 😎 I could still play this game for hours like back when I was so little. :P
I wish I still had this game....
omg thanks so much for uploading this i miss my childhood :(
I thought we would never get to see the playthrough. You are a CZcams god!
I love this game. I really like how the angry anthropomorphic lamp gets annoyed when you click on him.
Page 2:
1st click: Don't do that! Don't click on me again!
2nd click: You're not listening! I said, don't do that!
3rd click: GRRRRRR!! Now I'm getting REALLY HOT!!
4th click: Look, I don't do nothing, go- go click on the bunnies or something!
(Goes back to 1st click)
Page 4:
1st click: Look, I'm asking you very nicely, please don't click on me!
2nd click: Ow! Hey! Don't click on me!
3rd click: Quit poking me! Just leave me alone! (Goes back to 1st click)
Page 14:
1st click: Look, I'm a lamp! I turn on, I turn off! This is all I do! SO GO AWAY!!
2nd click: OK, I BEG YOU! Please don't do that anymore!!
3rd click: Now you've done it! That's it!! I'm outta here!!! (Leaves the screen)
Page 2: Clicks on desk: Whoa! Whoa! Whew, I was getting sea sick.
He could sound like Danny DeVito, or Joe Pesci!
OMG I FORGOT ABOUT THE LAMP

OMG I played this game when I was only like 3 or 4!! HOLY SHIT!!! THESE SOUNDS!!
I remember playing this game at the library when I was a kid! Good times :D
The one thing I remember about this game is the lamp who gets angry when you click on him. XD
Oh man, I used to play this game! Thanks for uploading this! I miss my childhood so much :'(
I used to have this!!! SO FUCKING AWESOME!!!
I had so many Living Books games it was ridiculous. This one was one of my favorites though, always loved the soup game with DW
I played this ALL the time at school when I was a kid!! This video fills me with nostalgia :)
The book adaptation fails to mention HOW Arthur got a copy of "Deep Dark Sea." In the TV episode this story was adapted from ("Arthur the Wrecker,") Arthur says The Brain let him borrow his copy of the game to play. (Another game The Brain loaned Arthur was "Captain Sludge vs. Drain Boy" in "Play it Again D.W.")
Zak Wolf to be fair Zack in the intro to the living books version Arthur mentioned that the brain gave him this game
this is nostalgic! I used to play this almost everyday!!! brings me back to the good days
AAAAAAH I remember Living Books as a kid! I would play the ALL THE TIME~! :D
OMG THIS BRING BACK SO MUCH MEMORIES!!!! I LOVE THIS!
Really? Huh, it all makes sense now. It also explains why this story has way too many names. The episode was "Arthur the Wrecker", the book "Arthur's Computer Disaster", and the game "Arthur's Computer Adventure". And to make it even more confusing, the VHS tape is also called "Arthur's Computer Adventure"! So which one is it?
Meh, I just choose to go with the flow and enjoy it all
THIS WAS MY GODDAMN SHIT
Omg when I was in elementary school the kids in my class including me would always fight over this game and I would barely even get a turn 😂😂
Boy, the Reads sure are nonchalant about the chaos going on in their dining room. Must be some damn good food.
There is marry jane in the desert. How elts do you afford 3 kids in a 2 story house?

I loved this as a kid. It was the first Living Book game I had.
this took me back!! omg I used to love pissing the lamp off by clicking over and over the sounds are so nostalgic though some of the things I don't remember clicking but I remember the sounds

When I have kids, I'm going to have them play this. I'm hoping I can buy it on eBay or Amazon.
Holy shit pressing everything in the rooms was my childhood.
I remember going through Arthur's computer adventure! It was on CD-ROM and then I played! : ) #goodmemories : )
0:53, Arthur, It's Time for Dinner.
I still have this CD rom!!! It's pretty scratched up though........ It usually ends up freezing. This nostalgia is real! I remember the devil conscious thing and the talking computer TERRIFIED me! I'm glad I'm not the only one that watches these kinds of videos!

9:58 SO FUNNY HAHAHAHA
Why didn't I know about this when I was younger?! :(
not gonna lie..this was the shit back then. I played this almost every day..
Damn i feel old watching this. I remember playing this as a kid.
9:53 I used to laugh at THIS part when Arthur is shocked by a shark up close. XD
7:38 for "Said Mom".
Arthur is a lean, mean swimming machine when you play Deep Dark Sea on his mom’s 🖥. 👍🏻 if you agree and experience the nostalgia during the COVID-19 outbreak at the same time.
This brings back memories when I used to rent this from the library as a kid
Totally brings back memories ☺️
