You asked "could she also manipulate him with that information". I think part of this is being foreshadowed in their conversation about Caesar. Homelander says "like Caesar" and Sage smiles and agrees. But Caesar historically was a bit of a brute ... not the savior who swooped in to save Rome. It was Augustus who feigned giving up power and played the savior of Rome to assume control... I think Sage is going to try and pull a Brutus on Homelander

The actor who plays the deep should get more recognition, I feel like because of what his character did and still does people shy away from giving him his props... Just small stuff like how he sat in the chair sells the slimeball image of the deep
We’re only 3 episodes in - but I am LOVING this season so far. Butcher is FINALLY acting like a human being after all this time and making choices that don’t always push the people he loves away since he has so little time left.
I actually think they send THAT picture to the actress in the scene without telling her before. She kinda hides a smile...
I think its really important to remember that Ryan is a kid who has very clearly devoulped empathy, and thats not something that can easily be erased by being around a bad influence like homelander. Homelanders God complex isnt a set of ideals that can easily be imposed on Ryan, its a sociopathy caused by his upbringing. Since Ryan is shown to be capible of Compassion, its going to be much harder for him to buy into homelanders beleifs.
Ryan was raised by Becca. When Homelander learns empathy from Ryan, he’s really learning it from Becca 🥹

Black Noir is dead
This is simply a new supe that (probably because of homelander) was forced to play Black Noir. It’s why he’s talking and reacting the way he does, the OG Black Noir would have had no problem killing (nor would he have said anything)
He might be alive. We did see Soldier Boy literally smash his brain out of his skull and he survived that, although with some pretty serious brain damage.
The sequence of events for Noir's death lead me to believe he's alive too. Homelander ripped his guts out and left him bleeding on the floor, and we *explicitly see* that Homelander doesnt take the mask, because we see the cartoon characters in his mask as he "dies" (loses consciousness). Later, Homelander only presents Noir's mask to the group as proof he killed him. Why not show his whole body if he's dead downstairs, why just take the mask?
Maybe Noir's "death" was him rejecting the costume and character. Maybe he realized Homelander was as bad as Soldier Boy, and decided to do something about it. Maybe Ashley deleted the footage of him leaving, same as she did with the proof of Maive's survival. It's a little tin-foiley, but I don't think it's impossible.
TL;DR I think it's likely that Homelander/ Vought replaced Noir for appearances, but the real one survived and is still out there somewhere.

Noir may have seen the writing on the wall: that working for Homelander was just like working for Soldier Boy. Did he lie? No. He kept a secret, and revealed it the first time Homelander asked. And what did he get? His guts ripped out. That would probably change his mind.

At First I thought Maybe Sam from Gen V. (When i first Seem the teaser trailer) But I think he is to short. Has Schizophrenia. And Putting Sam in a Suit and Mask would make him freak out. Plus, unless He is properly Medicated Too unpredictable.

I think that Hughie is shouldering too much guilt, but he is also not completely free of it. There are warning signs of strokes, and perhaps if he had taken his father‘s phone call he would have seen some of the signs develop and been able to get his father help faster.

Sage was an excellent introduction to the cast. Not afraid to speak her mind, even if it could get her head lasered in half and she’s right all the time. May not have other powers but you’d be a fool to underestimate her

It doesn't take a genius to realize that coming across as superior to Homelander is a death sentence. The hardest part for her about that conversation was probably to not break out laughing when Homelander compared himself to Julius Caeser, unwittingly perfectly identifying himself with what I expect is her ultimate goal.
She's awesome, and possibly the most dangerous person in the entire show.

And one of the assassins was Brutus, who was Caesar's close friend and protégé, to the point where some claim Caesar's last words were "you too, child?" (and not "you too, Brutus", as in Shakespeare's play). So if Homelander wants to be "like Caesar", he could die like Caesar, by the hand of his "child"

Of course, Sage being Sage she might be having a bit of a laugh at Homelander's ignorance, meaning that he'll end up dead (with maybe Ryan ending up as future emperor) while knowing that he'll misunderstand it as him ending up as emperor, but I'd excuse his ignorance in this case, most people know of only one Caesar, besides the salad an the pizza place.
When you think about a chess player who sees eight or ten moves ahead, Sister Sage sees far enough ahead to know when Homelander will flip the board rather than concede.

Deep is able to TALK to sea animals that’s the ONLY reason he has relations with them. Plus he himself is not even human so even if he does it with another Human, it’s technically a different species.
Being able to have conversations with fish is the most messed up power in the show. It implies fish are sentient and have a culture similar to humans.
Personally, I still hope he can't and that he's delusional.

The hardest evidence against the 'mind control in the hands of a messed up mind' is the fish in s1 finding the black box. Even that, though, could be a command to investigate and processing actual fish thoughts (flashes of imagery and other sensory data at best) as full on conversations.
The Boys is messed up enough to go either way: delusional mind controlling fish-frakker or fishermen being worse than a thousand Genghis Khans. Flip a coin. :)

My current theory is that Neuman has already used the virus on Homelander, but it's not strong enough to kill him, but it's weakened him enough to cause him to start ageing. Also I believe Sage's master plan is to betray Homelander in a way that helps her escape his control, because if her plan fails when it's backed by Homelander's strength and Voughts resources it really fucks up the idea that she is some kind of super genius.
That baby Deadpool hand, though. Also, Kimiko could break some of those guys in half, but then some of them may enjoy that.

The biggest surprise for me this season has to be that they somehow got Tilda Swinton to be the voice of Ambrosius the octopus. I mean, that is one hell of a seductive voice.

This season feels like a quite different tone from the other seasons. Still enjoying it, but it's feeling a bit more serious. I suppose when you've got that ep 1 Termite scene and Herogasm, it'd be pretty hard to top that.

43:34 I hear you. When we have to wait years in between seasons, I tend to forget a lot of details, unless I have been watching reactions to previous seasons. I've only seen _GoT_ once, but I've seen so many reactions to it that I never forgot what happened. On the flip side, I completely forgot what happened in the first 2 seasons of _Succession,_ and because none of my favorite reactions reacted to it until now (Normies), I feel compelled to rewatch the show before I start S3, and S4. Same goes for _Barry._ I only feel comfortable doing that for a really great show, though. For average shows like _The Witcher,_ I'm not even going to bother. If I don't remember, fuck it.

JDM - I didn't make it long enought into TWD to get to Negan. Whenever I see him the first things that come to mind are dead dad in Weeds, The Comedian in Watchmen, and Daddy Winchester from Supernatural (even though I only made it to somewhere in S2 i think of that).

I'm not entirely convinced that Sage is as super-smart as she's propped up as being -- I suspect she's rigging the system for her own advantage. (Please keep in mind I haven't read the books and that the comics are often very different from the show, so I'm not intentionally spoiling anything, this is just my conjecture!). Or for someone else's...Could Butcher have somehow planted Sage on the Seven's radar so that she can manipulate them from within? Again, just conjecture, but he's awful sneaky, that Butcher.
I don't think it takes a Reed Richards or Tony Stark level intellect to be able to manipulate the man-babies of the Seven. While Homelander is pretty devious and seems to be able to think on his feet (at least prior to recently, he now seems to get lost in his own head), he seems pretty easy to manipulate. I reckon anyone paying attention would be able to figure out how to do so. The Deep and A-Train are so specifically motivated that I reckon my five-year old cousin could convince them to do what she wanted. Same can more or less be said for The Boys -- there's been growth, sure, but they're fairly predictable. I wonder to what degree Sage is a meta-commentary on that versus how her intelligence will play into the plot, versus a little from column A, a little from column B.
PS - I know it came up below/earlier -- props to deanthemachine -- but the "new" Black Noir is the same actor but, in-world, Vought just put someone else behind the mask. While I already specified I haven't read the books, I do know a very big spoiler about Black Noir that I think Kripke et al. have moved away from. I won't mention it here, but it's bonkers. The fact that the 'new' Black Noir seems to just be a dude in a suit seems super-interesting to me. Does he have powers? OG BN sure could chuck Starlight around...
To that end, does every Supe automatically have enhanced strength and constitution? Is this something I missed along the way? Seems like all of them can punch through marble and taking a punch from someone who can punch through marble doesn't immediately liquify their organs. Obviously Soldier Boy and Homelander are tougher, but we know that Maeve's arm was busted catching a school bus, we know Kimiko is basically Wolverine (or X-23) without the claws (she has dildos for that, after all). But it seems like having powers basically just grants +15 to all stats. Is there some in-show explanation for this? Or are we all just cool with Supes punching the shit out of each other and we leave it at that? (I'm fine with the latter).

So, the TLDR on Ceasar (in the context of what Sage is talking about, she more likely means Augustus than Julius) is that he rose to power after a few decades of riots and civil wars. Julius Ceasar was particularly talented at using public popularity and military power to enact his (mostly) progressive policies, but it also required/enabled him to assume increasing amounts of autocratic power. Conversely, Octavian/Augustus refused the title of dictator, but is still the first "Emperor of Rome" because after all of the chaos, the senate and people were willing to invest him with multiple positions and titles in order to keep things peaceful and prosperous.
This is often how "strongmen" or autocrats come to power, through the idea that the current system is broken and you need to invest one person with unchecked power to "fix" things. And the people who DON'T use that unchecked power to secure their own position, are quickly replaced by someone who will.
It is the entire problem with hero-worship that Annie is struggling with: it's easier to emotionally invest with a symbol than actually work to support the cause. And it's not just her lack of PR skills or reluctance to assume the mantle that make her a weaker figurehead than Homelander. People don't believe in someone because "she seems nice," they have to believe she'll DO something with the influence they invest with her...and despite his gaffes, his boorishness and his mania, Homlander CONSTANTLY asserts his willingness to use power.
