The Supremes, along with Motown's Funk Brothers, created the magical sound that made this song a number one hit...I stretched it...
Who listens ?? All us 70 year olds who knew what great music was when were 14
AMEN!!! And I'm 65.
A bit of trivia: Come See About Me was a number one song for the Supremes TWICE! It went to number one in early Dec. 1964. As it gradually decended, the Supremes made their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show singing this song. After that appearance, the song regained momentum and returned to the number one slot! The first time around it knocked the Beatles out of the number one spot; the second time, the Rolling Stones!
Who is listening to Supremes in June 2021? Unforgettable voices! Love them!

Just in case you didn't know, the owner of this channel, mosogotam, whose real name is John Perrone, sadly passed away April 5, 2020 from COVID-19. He was an absolute genius for this and all the other wonderful tracks he created. May he rest in peace.
A great composer and arranger. How he did these takes is amazing.
🙏🏽
Oh that is so sad, I found this song, then others and I subscribed to his channel 🥲
A true and talented mixer. Will miss him
Saw The Supremes on Christmas Day 1964 at The Fox Theatre in Detroit! Loved their harmony and grace. Will never forget that day!
You were blessed

Rest In Peace Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson.

@@wobblybobengland Oh? When did he die? And how?
We all miss you so much!!!!
I grew up in a small Midwest town of 3 thousand people. My dad was the only paid firemen of the volunteer fire department. He had an old beige Philco tube AM radio he would have on in the fire station... I was seven or eight, and we lived in that old two room fire station. It was cold in the winter, and hot in the summer...but it was the best years of my life. I was seven or eight when this was on the radio waves. Thank You Diana and the Supremes to let me relive those best of days!!! I'm a old white man who wishes music like this would come back. The golden era of African-American music. Just the best.
Great memories with your "hero dad" 🙏🏽!
RIP Mary always loved. ... RIP Flo , never forgotten , beautiful women singing amazing songs , so much love ...
Well said!
They don't make music anymore. This Is Music!
This came out though a really neat updated song, you're most correct though also
Makes those who know good music wanna cry.
So true beautiful soul music
Well, try and make yourself 'they' then, peace and love
💞✌️ Yes...Always Peace and Love💞 Forever...✌️
Still loving them in 2024. My sister turned me onto R&B music when I was a young kid. Still all I listen to, to this year. Music with meaning and raw talent. Just love it. Thank you my sister.

These ladies are in a class by themselves. Enough said. Rest in peace. Mary and Flo. God bless the. Supremes
They were able to reach millions of people during their reign in the 1960. Since I don't see anyone coming close to their success, they will remain queens of the girl groups for a very long time.
So glad you like it! They had the most lovely harmonies...as a group!

BEAUTIFUL LADIES MISS ALL OF YU ONE OF THE BEST GROUP EVER GOOD OLD DAYS IAM STILL DANCING AT 71.
@Roshanda Mills Hi! I was a Freshman at Rutgers, and my Sophomore Roomate would round up and fill up his new Pontiac with classmates, roll to a Pizza Parlor, with the Supreme's blasting away, and come back and keep me away play Hearts till 3 AM. Of course, I was a pre med student, had 8 o'clock classes, and he had all his classes arranged so he didn't have to get up till noon. OH the sleep depravation! But it stood me in good stead going thru OCS at Pensacola NAS, class of 1369. Oh the age of Classic Rock, being young then, except for the devastating war, it was the greatest time to be there then, and then, it was all gone. Poof!
Keep on dancing!
Sad how it is time the instills meaning. The more time that past... the more meaningful the memories it leaves behind.
I was a 6th grader when this came out, and I'm still listening 2019.
Getting the hair higher and higher ..Listening to KSTN .
I was 13 then will always listen to this good old days back then
Hey Louie, I'm still listening too. Keep it up baby.
One of my favorite songs by The Supremes! Great vocals! Awesome musical accompaniment! Motown rocked this country in the 1960s! Motown songs seem to be timeless and so fun to listen to after 50 years when they were originally recorded!!!
The Funk Brothers
One point about Motown that is notable...the timeless feel of the music. This song is now FIFTY YEARS OLD!!! Sure as hell doesn't sound like it!
You said it King Bee. Today's generation should give an honest, unbiased listed to the music of the past, from the 50's Doo-Wop thru the early 90's. In my opinion, after Luther, Barry, Isaac, and others passed on, most R&B went downhill, now all they listen to is Rap.
Because pure talent and art is timeless.
@@oversteer1000 amen my brother

STILL A GREAT SONG, MOTOWN FOREVER IN MY HEART!!!!
circa 1967 South Central Los Angeles on a street with perfectly green manicured lawns out in front of my parents house on a sunny Saturday morning, I`m eleven years old washing my Dads white 1964 Chevy Impala while the car radio is tune to radio station KGFJ and what`s playing ......The Supremes come see about me. Oh the Memories!!
Flo Great One of All TIME
These extended versions are amazing! Keep them coming!
He passed unfortunately from Covid in 2020😢
TWELVE NUMBER ONE HITS ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100!! The Supremes still hold the all time record for a vocal group!! They are true DREAMGIRLS AND ICONS!
Hard to beat that record. No doubt about it ... we are talking major big league here. The Supremes were the IT GIRLS!!!
Amazingly (and I do mean amazingly when they stopped being known as The Primettes to counterbalance The Temptations once being known as The Primes) these incredible Women and Singers were derisively known as "The No Hit Supremes." A Dozen Number Ones later that changed sure as the world!😂🎤🎼🎸🥁B.W.
I love the Supremes with all my heart and soul but the Beatles had 31 number one hits
Florence Ballard will always be my favorite Supreme. She was a good lookin' woman, now she's singing for God and bet the heavenly choir loves her and Mary Wilson. Enjoy heaven ladies.
I Feel the same way!!!!
David Rose Male Mary and Florence where very attractive woman never liked Diana Ross i thought Jean TERRELL was far better looking and her voice was terrific
She's with Mary now
I have been watching and listening to this video off and on throughout the morning after hearing about Mary's death. My very favourite Supreme song....it's a gem. I have always found this particular song "timeless". I remember when I first heard it on the radio back in January 1965...I loved it immediately! That sound, the lyrics, the vibe....so awesome to dance to! Love this extended version to "Come See About Me". RIP dear Mary.
Amen. ...love those girls!!!
My condolences to Mary Wilson to family & friends. The "Queen of soul" of the Supremes.
Roger Fourier This was rhythm and blues not soul
@@TheGhost-gx5vd The Supremes bridged the gap between R&B and what we call "Soul" for the entire nation and a good part of the world. But I do know what you're saying.
@@TheGhost-gx5vd yet Mary was no the queen that was DIANA ROSS!!!!
More IN DEPTH study needs to be done on The Supremes and how they impacted the music industry and pop culture as a whole! Everytime you turn around there's something about The Beatles.. The Supremes deserved just as much attention and respect! 12 NUMBER ONE SONGS ON THE BILLBOARD HOT 100 is no easy feat! NO MUSICAL/VOCAL GROUP to this very day in December 2020 has been able to achieve that!
Supreme in so many ways,, what taste, style. Detroit Michigan UNITED STATES of America 🇺🇸
Mary, Diana, Florence, simply fabulous darlings. One thing is for absolutely sure,, quality never goes out of style!
Supremes are what Fabulous looks like. The Supremes has glamour and class that you don't see anymore.
When pop music was fabulous. Today it sucks.

this song was a masterpiece. and this is a gorgeous re-imagining of it. note how Florence and Mary's harmony vocal carries the same weight as Diana's lead. perfection.

WHEN I TOOK THE DISHES TO THE KITCHEN I stuck MY HEAD IN THE SHOWROOM WHERE THEY WERE SINGING 'REFLECTIONS.later that night after the show the 2 girls came into the coffee shop where i served them water. Diana was with her mom in the pioneer steak room.then we were asked to push this table of food meant for a king.into this small convention room. well ,all of motown was there. FLO,FLO,FLO my all time favorite supreme.I still crying baby for you.
Do not thank me ;
Lyrics ------>
I've been crying
'Cause I'm lonely (For you)
Smiles have all turned to tears
But tears won't wash away the fears
That you're never ever gonna return
To ease the fire that within me burns
It keeps me crying baby for you
Keeps me sighin' baby for you
So won't you hurry?
Come on boy, see about me
(Come see about me)
See about you baby (Come see about me)
I've given up my friends just for you
My friends are gone
And you have too
No peace shall I find
Until you come back
And be mine
No matter what you do or say
I'm gonna love you anyway
Keep on crying baby for you
I'm gonna keep sighin' baby for you
So come on hurry
Come on and see about me
(Come see about me)
See about you baby (Come see about me)
Sometime's up
Sometime's down
My life's so uncertain
With you not around
From my arms you maybe out of reach
But my heart says you're here to keep
Keeps me crying baby for you
Keep on, keep on crying baby for you
So won't you hurry
Come on boy, see about me (Come see about me)
See about you baby (Come see about me)
You know I'm so lonely (Come see about me)
I love you only (Come see about me)
See about your baby (Come see about me)
Hurry, hurry
God bless you Mary , you & Flo are together again.
It’s just something about the way Jamerson drops down to the lower note… his understanding of what a bass is supposed to do transcends every other bass player. He owns the song.

Gee! I'm 66 now, but when I hear the Supreme's takes me back to about 1965! My Mom and Sad were young, I was a smart ass teen, and Saturdays were for American Bandstand. The worst thing that ever happened back in 65 was the coming of the Vietnam War...and then..Everything changed! That was quite a time!
Your bringing Mary and Flo out of the background at the end is simply awesome!
I’ve been waiting to hear them singing loud and clear since 1964 so I’m finally ready for Supreme Heaven.
