I have been to Cape Cod several times but didn’t know this song. A friend had heard the song as a little girl and it filled her with a lifelong desire to visit the Cape. Sixty seven years later, she finally got to the Cape. I saw her enter a state of bliss as she took in the view from the Marconi Station Observation Platform for the first time.

I've never figured out how God bestows some with such an incredible gift. He certainly blessed David Ruffin, and in doing so enriched our lives by getting to listen to him. It's a shame his demons got the better of him. But I'm glad we have his voice forever.
