I say go all in one new so you can get the exact color that matches your vibe + it has warranty! This is gonna be your home after all, and not some apartment you’ll be moving out of in a year so I think it’ll be worth it

@chloeshih the kelston is amazing! Ive had it since may and theres no going back - highly recommend.
One thing I would recommend is staying away from pebble weave. its made with viscose which stains super easily (even from water).
I found the best (and also their most popular) reliability x comfort fabric was the crypton robusta. We got it in snow and its a looker!
@@mihneamunteanu2871 omg!! we decided to go with crypton robusta as well in snow!! the same!!! :D :D :D it will come in dec/jan though, so we're using our current living spaces couch for now. i absolutely cannot wait!! also thanks for the tip on pebble weave. i was being hard convinced that pebble weave is the move, but i know i'm not the cleanest person and would be very nervous for any spills or damages. need a more performance fabric!

This was so fun to watch! I’ve never really seen these styles before so it was really interesting! I’m super lame and I still like the whole farmhouse look haha my dream couch is the Thomasville sectional from Costco where you can push all the pieces together and it becomes like a giant bed for everyone to be cozy and watch movies 🥰

Yay another Chloe video! I love the little snippets of mandarin you injected 😂. Yes furniture is so expensive and the wait is so long... I remember waiting 6 months for my furniture order due to floods that impacted delivery 😢. I recommend checking out EQ3 if you have that in your area! I ended going with them with their thanksgiving sale in Canada and got 20% off. Also Muji sells some cute oak furniture pieces too if you like the Japandi look! Lastly, I love your outfits here! Great video! Also in the house-buying phase right now with a new build, and I'm so nervous about picking out designs next week. I also considered going back to school for interior design but decided a doctorate was better for now. I am still buying design books, though I just got "Design the Home You Love" :)

Hey Chlo! Couple of questions here :)
I'm a PM currently year 2 in the role. There are some things that really stump me lol
1. How to handle difficult people? People that aren't collaborative, aggressively dominant/self centered
2. Being younger/lower in the heirarchy, how to handle that? I've been in the workforce for 10 years and was put in PM because my managers saw me as a good fit for the role (coming from UX) but I work in Booz Allen (old, traditional, heirarchy focused) and I have some people that just see all 'young' people as the same. I doubt they'd double question my skills/competence if i was a 30 year old guy tbh and not a girl
3. What is BS and what isn't BS? Lots of courses online and methods (RACI, many matrix's, MoSCow [ilove!]) but what ones practically do you come back to?
4. Most importantly - how to build trust, authority and a good vibe with a team?
5. If someone is underperforming, and especially if you had a situation where they were older, how to you handle that?
My biggest tip: I thought Myers Briggs and all of those were fluff - but tbh the 4 quadrant personality assessment made me see and understand my team better so quickly

I totally get exposed to the interior design trends like you do but my opinion is that you should furnish and decorate based on what is true to your personality, not based on what you see on social media, design magazines, etc! The space you live in is supposed to reflect your soul (cliche, I know but so true) ♥️
I do think design magazines influence the heck out of me!! But yeah agreed. Trying to find my own flavor ~~

I separated the house purchase from furniture. There was just a set max at the interest rate I had that I couldn’t cross. That is separate from my furniture and reno budget. I’m seeing what’s leftover basically to decide when to get what.

Hi Chloe, firstly I love your content! Did you do video editing when you were younger, or did you do a course which allowed your creativity to shine? Also, I have noticed you're in the corporate world did you do a degree in business or something else?
I did not take video editing when I was younger! I learned independently from CZcams vids about 2 years ago when I started this channel! If you look at my old vids, they are reallyy really bad haha.
My degree was in industrial engineering and operations research, which unfortunately has nothing to do with my profession today :
WOW! I think your amazing for learning on your own. How do you feel about that, knowing you studied for 4 years or more and now in a different field? Also what advice would you give to someone who wants to step into the corporate world with no knowledge? Someone like myself who doesn’t want to do construction as I just don’t fit in.. I see someone like yourself and I just relate, I want to be customer focused and not tool focus. Hope that makes sense but honestly would love your advice or steps I can take to build my career?

haha omg i looked this up and it's bc sectionals are furniture pieces that have more than one joined "section". so if it's an L shape, it's a sectional. So like you're combing 2 sofas together basically.
